At AT&T with the "GoPhone" plan your SIM is only active for 30 days (bought the SIM for $25 including $15 airtime).
For how long will the T-Mobile SIM card be active when you buy it?

Tmobile's SIM with this plan does expire if you don't pay I think for 90 days.

Then all you have to do is just to activate it again and it'll work. (The phone number will be changed though).

Has anyone tried using this with a cellular iPad? My local WaMart is still selling the $30 TMo sim activation kit with 5GB data/100min. Just wondering if anyone has had success activating this sim with a tablet rather than a phone. If not, what would you recommend as the next best thing for a prepaid or pay as you go tablet plan? If this sim will activate properly with TMo on an iPad, then I don't see any better deals for tablets out there...thoughts?

It won't work with an iPad. It will take you to the T-Mobile site asking you to sign up for a plan.

The $30 sim will work in a watch such as a Gear S. I've used it in my Gear S watch a few times.

I still believe that T-Mobile has the best value iPad plans out there.

So this plan is still available direct from TMo, just tucked away, with most of the features not even advertised. As I mentioned above, my local Walmart has a ton of these cards for sale still. I recently gave up on AT&T and let my contract run out. I use less than 100 voice min/month, and have increasingly been using the new Hangouts app for phone calls, iMessage for txt, and FT audio for calls. You really can't beat $30/month for 5GB of data at 4G...especially now with band 12 on the 6S!
