Well, here's hoping. I'm about 10 miles west of NYC and my data speeds are terrible. "What good is unlimited data if I can't use it?"

I'm usually around 200 kbps down and around 150 kbps up. I guess my local tower hasn't had the Network Vision update yet.
Are you using an official T-Mobile iPhone 5 or an unlocked AT&T iPhone?

No. I'm on Sprint. Comparing speeds with someone else's Sprint speed test above. It seems like their node has been upgraded to the 4G LTE site that Sprint calls "Network Vision" - which also makes your 3G speeds considerably faster.

Oh. I assumed you're on T-Mobile since this is a T-Mobile thread.

I can relate, I'm in NYC and my data speeds are the same as yours (and even slower during rush hours). It's very frustrating at times.

My area hasn't seen Network Vision yet, the speed test was taken in an area with Network Vision.

Tmobile 3G in Memphis TN

I'm new the this forum! But I just wanted to share the speeds my iphone 5 receives on T-Mobile here in Memphis, TN!

Oh and just to let everyone know. This is before I installed the carrier update on my iPhone 5, as you can tell by the 3G symbol. For some reason the with the updates carrier settings, I never received speeds this fast.

Hello guys I woke up this morning and saw LTE instead of 4G on my iPhone 5 today! The speeds are ridiculously fast but I know it's going to get slower soon, also I'm in flushing queens

Actually, its going to get faster as they allocate more spectrum throughout the country later this year.

Oh ok that's good, I was saying slower because once the network is more congested, but that's still good to hear, I wouldn't mind having 17mbps download speed daily lol

I've seen on other boards that LTE was turned on in Queens. I wish they would hurry up and turn on Manhattan.

Also from Queens, will again confirm that. It was a pleasant surprise to wake up to. I never switched out my iPhone to an AWS model though, if LTE will be more robust than the refarm, then I'll probably wait for the next iPhone before I switch it out.

I live in upper Manhattan and work in Midtown. Has anyone seen any new LTE sightings in Manhattan?

I am currently with Verizon I might plan to switch to TMO when my contract ends, how is brooklyn near williamsburg? anyone can show a speedtest?

question #2 will verizon iphone 5 pick up LTE with T-Mobile?

When I used my phone today at about 8:00 A.M.,I noticed it switched from 4G to LTE speeds and they were awesome (while they lasted!). Btw, I also live in Queens, so I guess there must have been quite a few sightings here of LTE speeds.

I can't answer question #1 but as far as questions #2, Verizon's iPhone 5 has "GSM/EDGE 850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz" bands and if you're in a T-Mobile refarmed area (where they switched to 3G speeds) you should be able to get those speeds.

As to LTE speeds, unfortunately Verizon's iPhone 5 does not have the LTE frequencies that T-Mobile uses.

Below is a link to a website where you can check if you're in a T-Mobile refarmed area:
