ive been using sprint via a 'free' mvno called ringplus on my ipad and it is pretty good around here too. their low frequency band 26 lte is more prevalent in beachside east central florida than tmobile band 12

my ipad doesnt have that spark band 41 I think it is (their fastest band). that is their fast high frequency band. they also have band 25 (1900mhz i think?), which tests at like 13 mbps around here

cant vouch for their voice service, but it looks like sprint has low frequency voice service to fall back on if there is no band 26 volte. tmobiles only low frequency is band 12, nothing else to fall back on

Sprint had 800mhz band 26 alot earlier then tmobile had band 12.

I love the TMobile philosophy and different way of thinking as it has forced others to make changes to their programs and upgrade schemes.

I wouldn't say I am completely satisfied as their coverage is spotty in a lot of Texas but the perks, Jump on Demand, and now this little addition of free stuff on Tuesdays is a nice touch and really enjoy their business model.

Not to mention the free streaming of music and videos which is 90% of what my data is consumed to anyways.

Tmobile changed the wireless industry in the US, just imagine att almost bought tmobile which would of made less competition.

You're right. I completely forgot about that attempted "merger."

I have ringplus on my tablet now, but if my needs grow I say T-Mobile is a no brainier for less critical things like tablets, especially with binge on
You pay $20 for R+ or were you somehow able to get a free phone plan to work on your tablet?

How did you get the free plan on a tablet?

I'm hoping the freebies get better. lol.

Who doesn't like pizza?!?!!?! ;)

Either way, such a nice little touch and interested to see how they keep this up as they just continue to impress me with the different things they do such as Binge on, data stash, freebies, jump on demand, etc.

Coverage is questionable in my area but I don't call anyone so I am good.

I get unlimited data on AT&T on my iPad Air 2, but I'm planning on buying a cellular iPad mini 4 and putting my AT&T SIM in it, then just using my iPad Air 2 on Wi-Fi. I was just going to get the free 200MB T-Mobile plan for my iPad, but if I can get a free RingPlus plan on it, I'll do that instead.

Did you sign up for the plan with your iPad or did you sign up with a phone and transfer to your iPad?

Also, did you download a SIP app to make free calls with your R+ number? I heard you need to make at least one call every month or two to keep your line from being terminated, but I haven't seen anything official on that. Still, better to be safe than sorry. You could always just call yourself once a month.

Signed up directly with my iPad personaly.

The guy that helped me in Reddit had activated on plan on iPhone then did the swap method, I did not have to do that.

I am set up with zoiper for the required calls too! Beautiful!

I would personally just use Google Voice/Hangouts for most calls, but still make a few every month with a SIP client and my R+ number if I got this. I'm excited. Can't wait to try it.

Same here, only use the sip calls to fulfill their requirements :) cheers

3750mb free per month is a bit to sweet to be true, have my account attached to a prepaid debit card just to be safe!

I have the Cheerful plan with 4K on one phone and Phoenix with 2750 on another. I might just transfer the Phoenix plan to my iPad if I can so I don't have to spend any more money.
