The predictions sound interesting, but I doubt Apple will use all their patants on this one device. Still, you never know.

OP: install OSx86 on your Dell, problem solved :D

It doesn't have a TV tuner per se.

What it might have is a handheld device that interacts with say..Comcast's new Guide.

Instead of holding the remote and scrolling through the guide all you need to do is use the device to look at the guide interactively then change the channel.

Betcha it does have a Tv tuner. It would explain the rumours of apple making a TV. lol can you imagine one with a 30" screen ;)

Yikes.

You just don't get it.
I agree 100% with Surely. By the way the OP started the thread, it was obvious they were implying they had an inside source and a photo, all of this to see what kind of attention they can stir up.

OP, I agree with a lot of your predictions, and think (some) are very probable, but you should have stated from the start that these are YOUR predictions. At least then we could have said good job to you for taking the time to collect the patent info. most people are just too lazy, or simply don't has the time to do this, so your efforts would have been appreciated. But Instead, you used your marketing/writing "skills" to mislead people into thinking you didn't do this, because you had inside information. You even asked everyone if they had any questions, as though you had already seen the actual device.

I appreciate your info, and again, I think you have some good predictions. I just personally think it's more respectable to let people know "hey this is just my prediction/hypothesis". At least that way you're people won't question your reliability or think you're just trying to get attention.

Actually the reason i asked for people to give questions or whatever is because I figured I had missed stuff that they could point out and that could be added in. For instance when I wrote the first post I didn't think about whether or not it would have a headphone port or a USB. My plan was to write the single post and then make it clear that it was just basically a wishlist but people responded in such funny ways and I didnt really believe that anyone would believe me. I mean, I put in red herrings all the way through like that it would be called Asteroid and stuff. Why/how would there be a product leak on a product of this magnitude right before its first introduction such that I had seen the actual product?

Its also just interesting to see what people are most looking for in a jesus pod. For me personally it would be two player gaming on one system so I hope we do see that. I can't think of any games it would work though other than variations on pong and turn based games.

Yay. Applecare heard my complaints and theyre going to replace it with no charge: all I had to do was say that there was no way I was going to pay $900 for a repair and I still had a year and a half of support left to call in and keep complaining. Hehehe.

Now heres hoping they hear my tablet requests!

Explain why there would be a TV tuner. Apple would lose tons of money through the iTunes store. It makes no sense at all. Having a TV tuner automatically gives access to local stations = free to use. Many of the top shows on the iTunes store are from local stations.

Also, I find it funny that you say anybody who thinks wired connection is better than wireless is wrong. Wireless first does not have the potential bandwidth of wired. Second, when doing wireless you lose a lot of data. Third, there are no high end headphones that are wireless (and I mean high end, not Bose). Show me frequency response charts that shows that wireless is as good or better than wired. Actually don't waste your time because you won't find any. Yes, wireless may be the future of many technologies, but wireless will just never trump wired in performance. Convenience, most definitely, but performance there is no comparison.

PS "Telivision" is spelt television; "seperately" is spelt separately;

Uh so, to address the PS first. I'm typing this on a ****ing Dell laptop. It doesn't have the built in spell check, let alone a built in dictionary. I'm also spoilt by using my macbook pros keyboard (the old one) and so not used to this pos that I am indeed making typos. I refuse to spend time type correcting work for grammar nazis like you. Some of my favorite novels have typos in them and I don't fault the editor. As long as you understood what was intended, it is just you being a control freak about your own mind's ability to process language meaning. And it is a fact that yuo cna undesrtadn wat im trnyig tow tyep regrdaless fo teh spelilng, rihgt?

Your brain control freak nature is outlined by your need to use things like response charts in place of experience. Performance is judged by one thing and one thing only: your ears. Yes, Bose may not be the best and they certainly don't use the best components, but they sound good to my ears. I don't buy Bose though, there are better values for better sounding products. That said, enjoyment is also more important than performance. The comfort of a product has an impact two: how much sound is let in, the angle of the earphone even. Of course the processing for ambient sound removal is very important too. The source of the file and the compression is obviously important. This is why it is important to note the long build up of patents apple has in wirelessly sending music at more than listenable quality. :D:apple:

The fact is that wires get tangled, break, look silly with any outfit unless you have coordinated it or you still think the white earbuds thing is cool, and eventually will be done away with. With the progression of wireless tech it is only a matter of time until everything is wireless.

Oh and I forgot to say: the reason there would be a TV tuner is so that you can watch new shows on an airplane and then download the whole season when you get home.

And it's not "spelt", it is "spelled".

On topic, I don't believe a TV tuner is a good idea. It would be a wired mess using a coaxial cable all the time.

Yes it is "spelt".

spelt
chiefly Brit. past and past participle of spell.

Oh, burn......

This thread is ridiculous.

I don't believe I have ever seen anyone write it that way past 3rd grade. In the business world, I've never seen it written that way.

I'll say it once and I'll say it again: the only thing aluminum is good for is making frying pans and foil wrap.

See...I liked the whole using patents to put together what this tablet could potentially be like. But that statement about aluminum... The MBP feels hot to touch because the aluminum is absorbing and dissipating the heat rather than keeping it within the internal components. That's actually a good thing.

You are actually ridiculous. You are acting like he committed fraud. All he did was make a thread about a tablet interesting for a change. He has plausible suggestions.
Also, tearing apart someone's grammar is not cool. Some people are not native English speakers, some (like supergod) have an awkward keyboard, but it is still so rude to tear apart someone's grammar. If you can't understand it, ask, don't criticize. You need to Google some online/forum
courtesy.

Excuse me, but I wasn't criticizing someone's grammer. I was correcting someone who was incorrectly criticizing someone else's spelling. I happen to agree with you- as long as what is typed can be understood, there is no need to call someone out on grammar/spelling. Maybe you should direct your venom at triscuitbiscuit and belvdr.

And as for supergod...... I've said my piece about the way he misrepresented himself for the first half of this thread.

Globally, including England. It is common practice to spell words in the way it is accepted by most. So, in this case, using "spelled" seems accurate to more people than spelled.

You're not so good yourself! :D

Hahahahahahahaha or LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL if you prefer :D this thread is ridiculous.

I don't think I've ever predicted anything about Apple before. I've predicted plenty of other things though. For me I came up with most of this stuff because people have been randomly asking me stuff for ages including what new Apple products would be like, becasue I read a lot of random ***** etc. I made a demo of this one by folding up a piece of newspaper and demonstrating how easy and comfortable it was to type on when you held it vertically. It just annoyed me that all the renders and everything online have had it horizontal all the time and not thought to switch it up.
