I just got done updating all the devices in my sig and re jailbreaking. Ugh...I hope they hold off on 8.2 for a bit lol. I know I didn't need to update, but I like being current.

I just got done updating all the devices in my sig and re jailbreaking. Ugh...I hope they hold off on 8.2 for a bit lol. I know I didn't need to update, but I like being current.
I was getting that on 8.1.1 also so figured what the heel I'm restoring and going to 8.1.2.
i just used iCleaner Pro to clean out cydia and the repo sources and it seems to have fixed it
ya i got the size mismatch error as well..
the icleaner pro solution did not fix it for me i still got it..
i believe this solution worked for me and it installed successfully but in cydia it say i still need to upgrade even though in version it say i have the one it is trying to upgrade to..
i used Charles web debugging proxy to get the taig deb link directly
so when i pressed upgrade and b4 it crashed on size mismatch i got the direct link and downloaded it via my computer then transferred across to my device and installed via ifile and rebooted..
u can do via cydia auto install folder as well..

i extracted all the debs and all the files seem to be the same...
and then to stop that annoying pop up each time you open cydia just go to the package setting for the Untether and set the "Ignore Upgrades" to on...

Im on 8.1.1 is it even worth updating to 8.1.2(I have an iPad Air 2) I got that same mismatch error its a repo boo boo hope it gets fixed soon..but it seems the IOS update is mainly to fix issues with the ringer..so maybe I should just wait til 8.2 comes out?

That's good glad to know that it works..how about Barrel? Do you think I should update or just wait til 8.2 since I hear that another beta of it already came out..and does the new update add any additional mb back to the ipad..do you know what the new update does if anything for the ipad

all tweaks that you are using on iOS 8.1.1 should work on 8.1.2 since it same kernel. all they did is fix a very minor bug should have no effect on the overall file system..
i would recommend waiting on iOS 8.2 those who are on 8.1.1
as 8.1.2 are for those who "BUY RINGTONES" <--

That's true and I dont even have an iPhone so there ya go, no ringtone..I just figured maybe the new IOS saves some additional mb on my iPad..but I dont want to jailbreak til that TaiG size mismatch thing is resolved
Wish there was an easier way to jailbreak rather than formatting my iPad and basically starting from scratch and having to put all my apps back in

I just updated because the process is so easy now, and there's no downside.

had the same problem yesterday, but today it worked, so maybe try it again see if it works for you
