Target’s Black Friday—$530 iPad Pro 10.5 and $250 iPad

How heavy is the 10.5? I currently have a 1 gen 12.9 and a iPad mini 4. I had a 1 gen iPad Air. I was considering the 10.5 to replace my mini for bedroom reading and online use at night. I was hoping the 10.5 was lighter then the iPad Air 1 gen or at least the same weight.
 
In general do these sell out fast on Black Friday? I think BB opens at 5pm on Thanksgiving, but I won't be able to go. I'm wondering if they'll be in that much demand this holiday season.

The iPads are hot items so expect that they will sell out. It’s easier to buy it online at BB website. The BF prices will be same whether online or in-store. BB stores open 5pm on 11/23. If you buy online BB, then you get to shop at home for BF deals all-day, starting “shortly after midnight”. See my earlier post.

From Best Buy FAQs:

Damn, now I'm thinking I should have been patient and waited until Friday before pulling the trigger! If Best Buy proposes a really better deal on Friday, how do you think they will react if I call to say "soooo, can I return the Ipad Pro I've just received simply to buy that other one you're proposing at a cheaper price?"...They do have a 15 days return policy, so they should allow me to do that, even if that would make me an annoying customer.

But they would still accept a return and refund of the original product (and then a purchase of the second product with a lower price) as long as it's within the 15 days period, correct?
It would be a tedious process, but if the price difference is worth it, I might as well do it if it's possible.

I guess I'll try to get to BB at 5pm Friday with everyone else in town. I wish I could check the stock of iPads on their website, but it looks like that feature is no longer working.

iPads frequently go on sale. I just got the 2017 Pro 12.9 for $550 from Best Buy last month. You should subscribe to an alert or something so that you don't miss them.
 
BH Audio has a good sale of $130off on 10.5 Pro/cellular. I just pulled the trigger on it..No tax, free shipping..I doubt BF deals will be much cheaper than that.

Just caught Best Buy flash sale. Pre Black Friday. Was going to get the iPad Pro 10.5 for $524. I already have a 12.9 and a mini. Instead of getting the 10.5 pro. I decided to get 2 9.7 inch 2017 iPads for $249 each. Give one out as a Christmas gift.

Haven’t seen any. I had asked Best Buy employee whether Apple accessories are seriously discounted for Black Friday he said no. I bought my Apple Smart Keyboard for Pro 10.5 at Amazon two weeks ago for $134 using a special offer from AMEX ($25 off any Amazon prime order).

I'm curious about this as well. I really love my Mini 4, but I'm intrigued by the 10.5", specifically for video streaming (Netflix, Amazon Video, PS Vue) and photo editing via Lightroom.

Yes. The mini is the best. For viewing in bed. I looked around and I found that the iPad 2017 , and the iPad 10.5 are about the same weight as the original iPad Air. The 10.5 is thinner than the iPad 9.7 inch models. 6.1mm vs 7 mm.
So i decided to get the iPad Pro 10.5 for $524 last night. From Best Buy.

Yeah, and I recently bought one from them for $80 off. Still a good deal with zero tax and shipping and it shipped right away. We have 10% sales tax so that's a good chunk on a buy at BB.

Yes they will. My local Best Buy did not want to price match Microcenter when I bought my iPad Air 2 back in 2014, but I went to a further away store and the manager there just said ok and price matched them. So if one store says no just go to another Best Buy.
