9 to 5 Mac says, "so the news is not good. Mid March hardware refresh but details are still sketchy. Nothing too exciting yet...we hope to have more soon."

Mid-march…not bad, and fits in with monthy's release date claim, I might add.

I think March is quite probable.

But what other pictures would you want? everything else is same. And yes, it is possible it is prototype, I didnt say it is final. But I already saw few of them, so apple is producing a lot of prototypes or it is final product...We will see. Prolly next there is no reason to post anything at all....

don't worry if what you say and showed us is true then you will get all the credits at the end (when the mac mini is released)

but it would be nice to see more pictures because....
if you would make some photos at angles where you still can see the back with some of the connections
that way its much harder to fake things with photoshop :)

Hey monthy, do you know anything about the upcoming iMac? Anything at all?

I wish people would stop saying release dates unless they have something firm. I know these are "rumor" sites, but if it's not mid-March, next it will be "sources tell us mid-April". Besides, the wait is already beyond-beyond ludicrous.

Hey, Monthy.

I want to thank you for your information, and I am curious about about one more point.

Do you have any update information on the graphics processor?

Thanks.

Hello,
I saw new mac mini in real. Most of info is correct. Some differences are:
there is 1x Mini DisplayPort and 1x mini DVI
there is FireWire 800
5x USB
the version with 2.0 C2D has 120GB disk
I am not sure about the release date, but my friend told me it should be out in a month. If you have any specific question, let me know and I can check tomorrow.

Specs and pic seem legit to me... Time will tell.
My Drobo would like the Firewire 800.

3 USB on the back
1 on the front
1 x Firewire 800
1 x MDP with MDP - DVI adapter in box
Gigabit Ethernet
Wireless N
BT 2.1+EDR
Usual audio ports
Kensington lock

2.0Ghz Core 2
2gb DDR3 (possibly DDR2, they used it in the new whitebook)
120gb drive
Superdrive
9400M
$699

Possibly could also sell the old 2.0 GMA 950 model for a couple of months at a knocked down price of $499.

Perfectly believable except the USB on the front.

I didnt say, there will be only one version of mac mini, just I have seen this one...

Wow, maybe we will see two different minis. The old-one (the current case) as on monthys picture and a new one (like the MacBook unibody and the new MacBook White plastic).

I cannot get any info on mac pro, but I heard some info from my friend they have some new iMacs ready too. I will try to find out some more info... :) Wha exactly would you want to know?

LED screens? Blu-Ray? Graphics?

yeah Monthy

Some news about the new iMac. I imagine in 1 month too?

More USB than 3 on the iMac?

mini DVI and display port two on the imac? like the new mini you post?

Something else new? ram DDR3 for sure

is there a 28 inch model ;-)

Because the iMac only has three.

While that is a good point, you forget the iMac comes with a screen. The new 24" ACD utilizes a USB slot, bringing the Mac Mini down to only four, and let's not forget, the iMac has 2 Firewire ports instead of just 1, a built-in microphone, and a built-in iSight camera. As far as speakers go, yes, both do come with internal speakers, but only the iMac has an amplifier for it's internal speakers.

Blatant photoshop action going on there. Look at the logo for the DVI display still centered between the two ports, the same location as the current mini.

There is no such thing as a "DVI" logo. There IS such a thing as a generic display adapter logo that everyone uses, regardless of port.

Except the HDMI idiots who are forced to engrave the HDMI logo in their machines.

Where else would they put it? Over just one? One over both of them? The placement of the port indicator makes sense.

That's what I meant.

I don't think the debate is over which "logo" should be on the machine, rather, the current location of the said logo.

The location is fine, provided that the logo is ambiguous, which it is.

Unfortunately, it's a consumer product, and therefore it won't have dual video out.

Much less dual video out in one completely DEAD format.

I totally agree with that, and hope you're correct. If anything, it would make more sense to put 2 mini-display ports on the machine, but for a product like the Mac mini, 2 video outs, like you said, doesn't add up.
