Since we have alot of EPL fans on this thread, can someone explain to me why did Man City give out Marlos Moreno on loan? that was a bad move. They should take advantage of him now...smh

More lopsided results this season, despite the spread of money in the league the rich clubs seem to have re established their ascendancy.

Mourinhos critics seem to be vindicated by the dropping of Rooney, though the goals largely came from set
Pieces.

Still young and City have a wealth of forward players. Who will he replace? Aguero? Sterling? Nolito? De Bruyne?

Despite the end of the Sepp Blatter era, we can see that little has changed at FIFA, who have just disbanded their anti-racism task force, claiming the job is done. Another bit of "mission accomplished" folly.

Meanwhile, Columbus won again this weekend, beating New England, another team trying to break into the playoff spots. DC United are holding on to the last playoff spot - 7 points head of Columbus, but Columbus have a game in hand and we play each other on Wednesday. It's an away match, but if Columbus can win it will shake up the playoff picture a bit. Ola Kamara continues his hot streak up top with two goals last night. Winning MLS is all about getting hot at just the right moment, and Columbus might actually be showing their best football just when it matters the most.

A little premature.

And much deluded. Indeed, if they think this issue has been resolved - let alone appropriately acknowledged, one has to point out to them that it hasn't.

It's not the tight little ground Upton Park was.
I say was a they blew it up!

One of the profiles (and I have forgotten exactly which one it was) of Mr Wenger that I read in The Guardian (or perhaps The Observer) last week - and there were a few such profiles on Mr Wenger over the past week in both The Guardian and The Observer, all pretty sympathetic - suggested that the 'less successful' phase of his managerial career commenced, or was kick started with the move from Highbury (a lovely atmospheric ground, with a stunning Art Deco design - the article mentioned that Mr Wenger had loved Highbury) to the Emirates (Stadium).

The article argued that this (decline) was caused not just by less access to ready cash (money was tied up for a few years with the necessity to fund the move to the Emirates), or the unexpected flood of money (from oligarchs among others) injected elsewhere - a development which Mr Wenger had not foreseen - which allowed other clubs to experience the sort of rapid beefed up growth and footballing strength normally attributed to steroids, were it done to a human body, but that there was a psychological dimension to this, in that it took Arsenal a lot longer to 'settle' into the Emirates and feel that it was (is) 'home' than many had envisaged when the move (for financial reasons) was first mooted.

This whole Allardyce thing is hilarious...

Big Sam is in hot water.

It would be incredibly funny if Allardyce got sacked after one match in charge over this. He can only blame himself; having been given an incredibly lucrative job managing England, he feels the need to shoot his mouth off. He's right though; the game is quite corrupt, and he's proven it.

EDIT: Big Sam gone after one match in charge of England!!!!

Surely this is a new low for the England setup. Southgate in charge for the next few matches as the search for the next chump to fail in a major tournament begins....

Good grief. You couldn't make it up.

Dunno why someone whose been a veteran pundit, premier league manager AND England manager would be looking to make even more money.

Guess you can never have enough money.

The shame of it all! We need someone squeaky clean to take on the job. Of course finding that sort of candidate won't be easy.

The problem in that world is that the requirement to be 'squeaky clean' plus the additional requirements of being 'experienced, competent and confident enough to be able to take on the madly unforgiving media and ludicrously inflated expectations of English supporters, not to mention managing and massaging the egos of overpaid pampered stars' means that the number of suitably qualified candidates who would be willing to put themselves through such torture will - most likely - be rather limited, to put it mildly.

Watching Dortmund vs Real Madrid, RM up 1-0 so far. RM's goalkeeper made a horrible mistake. Ended in a 2-2 tie.

Just finished watching Celtic vs Manchester City. I have to give credit to City, Celtic kept scoring and City would answer back. 3-3 tie.
