I just have this feeling that when Spurs face Arsenal again it will not be a cagey affair. Its going to be Ange ball win or bust! I am a long suffering Spurs supporter but in a masochistic way I kind of like it. For sure it is rarely boring!

Gung Ho the Lily Whites
you still need to get past aston villa in the table, if they pick up the form they had at the end of the first round, then spurs will find it titanically difficult.

Considering Arsenal's defensive record it might be in fact boring again.

Read a stat that they've only conceded 4 goals in 2024 so far.

What a chaotic, messy game.

The game was there for Liverpool frankly.
Feels like they got rattled once Utd equalised.
Still had so many chances to bury them. I mean Nunez’s chance, harder not to score really.

Utd could barely string two passes but
Liverpool lost their composure. Including Klopp. Became rash.
This gave Utd some belief, and its a brilliant strike from Mainoo

But of course Utd can't hold a lead to save their life.

To be honest - I am happy with this result because in the last rounds we will see an EPIC race for the championship.

Numerous times the league has been decided by 1 point but only once was it decided on goal difference, that season being 2011-12 when Man City won their first premier league title by beating Man United to the title on goal difference. Looks a good possibility the same could happen again, the title being decided on goal difference.

It is not going to be easy for any of the top 3 because all of them still have to play teams that are fighting for the remaining European slots. Villa wants the 4th champions league spot and are fighting Spurs for it thus Villa and Spurs will be putting in strong efforts against whoever they play. Man United and West Ham trying to fight for the last remaining European slot currently occupied by Villa thus those 2 teams will be putting in strong efforts to win their games.

West Ham could be the team that has the biggest say in the title challenge because they have to play both Liverpool and Man City, games West Ham will need to win if they hope to get the last European slot.

It would appear Liverpool have got their new manager for when Klopp leaves, Ruben Amorim, manager of Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon who has apparently agreed a deal in principle to be Liverpool's new manager.

Looks like Man United's director of football John Murtough has just put United in a very difficult position because he has handed in his resignation and is due to leave the club this week. It would appear United are letting him go rather than have him see out till the end of the season. The thing is, Newcastle are refusing to release replacement Dan Ashworth from his contract unless United pay them £20 million, United have offered £10 million. Ashworth's contract with Newcastle ends in 2025. If Newcastle continue to play hardball, Ashworth will not be allowed to leave Newcastle until his contract expires in 2025 and United have allowed Murtough to leave this week meaning United could end up with no one to deal with transfers over the summer.

There is strong rumor's that Sir Jim Ratcliffe want's to sack ETH in the summer and replace him with Gareth Southgate but that would mean Southgate having to release himself from the England team before the Euro's which I doubt the FA is going to let happen. If ETH get's a strong feeling he is going to be sacked but will not be sacked until Southgate is released from the England squad, I doubt ETH is going to want to hang around until Southgate becomes available, ETH would ask to leave at the end of the season which could mean United not having a manager and a director of football in place at the start of the new season.

The Amorim thing is still up in the air

If INEOS bring in Southgate then Utd should brace themselves for more pain.

He can barely hack it as an international manager with an abundance of quality players.

I dread to think what will happen with club football. At least we know Maguire won't be sold.

Diappointed tbh. Both ties. But at least City were good and scored worldies.

We on the hand, sloppy. Played the occasion rather than the actual game.
Credit to Bayern, they came and did a professional job without any fan support.
We were uncharacteristically nervous and naive. Both defenders. Havertz and Martinellie barely had a kick. We kept going right which annoyed me. We became predictable.
Guess we're still not quite ready.

Not gonna speak about the ref/pen. We shouldn't be relying on that anyway.

Bayern will probably win at the Allianz. But Trossard and/or Jesus should start

I also think City win at the Etihad. They'll have more players back and scoring 3 goals away is job well done.

I came home and saw 0 - 2 30 minutes in and was ... nah... I took a nap. lol

But, Wednesday claw two back in the second half to earn a well-deserved point. Didn't see that coming.

The good news is that Huddersfield got hammered in the end (... er ...). Less good is that Millwall beat Leicester 1-0. Really important that Brum get nothing from their match with Cardiff tomorrow.

Not a fun game to watch, and difficult to play for our team.
If the referee had been tougher earlier maybe. But she stepped up as the bad game from France continued.

Their National Team Captain even got a red card, I've never seen that happen in women's football before. He should've got it earlier, plus 1 player was also expelled.
It was no fun game to play for our women. Very foulty play by France. But it's not over yet, it's return games too, a lot can still happen.

Catching up with the highlights. The madrid game will be a classic. City actually played well but Real were just ridiculous and lucky with their shots. City will probably progress

Meanwhile Arsenal showed their inexperience and got lost somewhat. I'm less convinced they'll get through as the Allianz is a tough place to go. That said Bayern will give chances so there is possibility.

Sweden had chances but lacked composure. France were notably aggressive in their general approach. As evidenced by the yellow cards and fouls
The full backs can improve. They allowed so many crosses in and ultimately conceded from that.

I think we were very composed, that's one of our strentghs, but we can get more aggressive....I bet they really are after this game 🤬
We surely missed our tall defender Amanda Ilestedt yesterday (she's pregnant), almost as tall as Renard. I really like Renard though, glad she made the goal, if any would do it 😉

I meant more in front of goal. Sweden had some chances that could've been finished better. Stina had one that was straight at the keeper.

On another day she probably buries that.

Overall Sweden played well and didn't deserve to lose

Ok, to me that is about lacking focus and sharpness in the heat of a game. A bit different perspective perhaps.
Stina surely have to work on her concentration and focus, she missed an open goal at England too 😱
Asllani had a very good chance too that she missed yesterday, Rolfö should've had that chance instead - she's sharper.
I bet they have a lot to talk about today too.
