Edit: sorry, this is a sleeve not a case.

Anyway, if you are aiming for professional looking and also stylish, than try to avoid black leather with embossed or stamped logo's. Go for a nice brown vintage leather case WITHOUT a shoulder strap.

Shoulder straps are for heavy things and bags intended for women. Even European men laugh at tiny man-purses.

No. The STM case also looks horrible.

This makes it look more masculine to me.

Personally, I hate leather briefcase looking cases though. Reminds me of my father. Even with a suit I would prefer something like a solid black Timbuk2 messenger bag over anything leather.

One moment here... What the heck is an iPad 3G Elitist Club® Member?? and why is there a $price on your sig?? Enlighten me before I assume the worst.

Myself and my 3G/64GB/$329 constituents are trying to raise attention so that we can have our own subforum. It's hard for us $829 3G people to have conversations with all these $499 wi-fi people around. You asked, there's your answer, now lets get back to the topic at hand.

Apple should just discontinue Wifi only models. If you can't afford 3G, then you don't deserve an iPad!

yes, if you are a bike messenger :D.. Seriously, from an age of 30 on, style is measured by the amount of black leather, neoprene and canvas you have swapped for brown vintage leather. Take a holiday in Italy or buy an Esquire to educate yourself..

Shoulder straps are for women bags and for bags with heavy things. You are (I guess) not female and the iPad is not heavy either.

While I do agree, there are times I need my hands free and need a shoulder strap. Every try traveling with 4 kids under the age of 12? We have a lot of trips planned for the summer and I want to leave the MBP at home.

When I don't need it, I won't use the strap. Truth is...I really don't care what people think and I'm certainly secure enough in my masculinity to use a shoulder strap at times. I just want something that looks nice, gives me storage, and protects the iPad.

lol compensate much?

back on topic, I don't understand why all these bags are in portrait orientation. You're not going to look at the iPad when it's in it, so there is no need to keep it in that orientation.

From my point of view, almost ALL bags in portrait orientation look feminine, bags in landscape orientation look more manly.

I don't want anything to do with Italian or French fashion. Talk about effeminate.

BTW, I'm 29 and I think there is a serious generation gap between people a few years older than me, and people a few years younger. I usually come down on the younger side though.

Hardly anyone but lawyers and salesmen wear business suits anymore anyway and who wants to look like one of those.

Completely true. And avoid anything with ugly pockets bolted on it. Simple is better.

Why not put your kids in a carrying device and keep your hands free for your iPad?:D

Seriously, I take a small backpack on travel to store my wallet, iPhone, passport, camera etc. And a sleeve (http://shop.hardgraft.com/ipad-cases/heritage-ipad-case) with my iPad goes into that. If you put every gadget into it's own pouch or bag, than soon you will look like a Christmas tree.

I think they should just give you your own forum all by yourself....nobody else allowed so you could sit in the corner and talk to yourself all by yourself.....hey...just like your REAL life....

You've got your facts mixed up. French fashion for men doesn't exist. Italian fashion is macho not effeminate. You will not be able to find a man in Europe (and that includes Italian and probably 5% of French men) that will wear a bag with a shoulder strap that only holds an iPad or anything else of similar size.

And about suits. Download 5 episodes of "how I met your mother" and listen to the Doogie Howser guy. You will understand what we are talking about. In addition ask some of the classier women what they think of a man in a suit. You are what you wear is a universal truth.

Is this a joke?

Hmmm, I'm not to sure about getting something like that. For reason it just screams "Please rob me"

Hahah well said. Imo this kid should get a banned for all his fake drama.

Haven't you all learned yet? There is no such thing as a "best case", there are many great cases out there..

You know Neal Patrick Harris is gay right?

Also, "you are what you wear" is absolute crap. I know a ton of engineers and oilmen who wear Jeans and T-Shirts to work every day and are fabulously rich. You certainly won't catch Steve Jobs or Jonathan Ive wearing a suit very often. Women don't care if you wear a suit as long as you are decent looking, have a good personality, and can buy things for them.
