Best iPod Ever

I had a 4G iPod+HP a while ago, and I wouldn't mind having one again. It gets third place in my mind.

Next up, the 1G iPod Shuffle. A virtually indestructable, cheap (for the time, anyway) iPod that served me as my main iPod for over a year. Also one I wouldn't mind having again.

But, first place for me, is the iPod mini. One of the best iPod's of all time, if only for the click wheel. (The colors were rockin' too.) :)

Now that you can turn off coverflow mode, gotta say the new Nano is pretty sweet.

As far as older iPods go, the 5th gen iPod video is a classic.

I would agree on the 5.5G iPod "classic" but one problem: the battery life is woefully too short, especially on the 30 GB model. I like the 6G 80 GB and "6.5G" 120 GB models because they have really long battery life and both have enough storage capacity that ripping your CD collection at 256 kbps VBR or even going to Apple Lossless becomes quite viable. :) (I discount the 6G 160 GB model due to various issues with the hard drive in the player from what I've read here.)
