Why would they need to shut people up about it? From a marketing standpoint, nothing is better than people talking about your products, especially when they want to upgrade. It creates excitement. Apple doesn't want to shut them up. There is no such thing as bad publicity
Plenty of people complained when they made the iphones larger, that is why they still make a smaller size. And your crazy if you think that Apple will make a "limited collectors edition". All of their phones are collectors editions.
[doublepost=1485400651][/doublepost]I wanted more space for photos, movies, and audio books. And the new mini has a retina display. It is also faster loading sites that are heavy on graphics and ads.Why do you need a new Mini anyway? Do you experience any slowdowns or anything?
Anyone with anything but an iPad mini 4 has plenty of reasons to upgrade and at this point they don't want a >year old iPad, especially if a new one is coming out soon. Why do you need a new Mini anyway? Do you experience any slowdowns or anything?
The Pro is two different sizes.Once you use the mini, there's no going back to the 9.7 size. It's too big for what it's intended for, browsing the web while on the couch or in bed. If you love to draw/paint the Pro is the best size.
To force mini users to buy pro version at higher price.
That would work except for target groups like kids or people who are on a budget or want an affordable ereader and these make a huge part of the remaining mini user base.
I don't know if it's accurate to say that the iPad Mini is a budget option. It's easily one of the most expensive small tablets on the market. The truly budget conscious would get a much cheaper Android/Amazon tablet that can easily handle ereading and web surfing. I think people buy the Mini simply because they want a more portable iPad.
Wrong.Apple isn't bringing back Mini 4.0" iPhones.
