Jb 3.2 eliminates need for 4.2 imho

Anyone who has been using the GM or any of the 4.2 betas know how many apps can go into a iPad folder. The iPhone is limited by screen, so I didn't know if the iPad can fit more than 12.

I have only one screen of folders, and they are all in the bar. Only a few apps on one page...no swiping all over the place.

I am very happy with how infinidock, subcategories, backgrounder, and virtual memory have transformed my iPad so nicely.

I can't imagine having it any other way. In fact, I bought a touch 4g and really found the folders quite frustrating compare to my current set up. Took it back because it sucked as stock device.

What you should have done is jailbreak your touch, and install FolderEnhancer and/or other such mods. They really combine the best of the iOS 4.2 folder features with the features from Categories SB.

so lets see, i'm on jailbreak wit FW 3.2

Airpint - there is an app for that......
Airplay - very satisfied Airvideo user
Multitasking - Backgrounder works fine
GameCenter - Huhu don't need it.....
Folders - SBCategories works fine

So the upgrade has nothing for me?
Oh wait the lock switch which is then a mute switch i didn't need...so great....

Where IS the biggest 4.2 feature again?

Oh boy, another "Look at me!" person, no one cares what you do so stay on topic. Its not hard really.

Flash... oh wait!

Thanks for the fresh and new joke!.... Oh wait!

agree, dying for the new inbox

Agree, and it's absurd that we're dying for such a stupid/simple feature. Just like cut, copy & paste on the iPhone when it first came out.

Apple really knows how to strain you with these stupid features — and it's incredible how Apple introduces them late, defining them "AWESOME".

EDIT: And another mod was just posted to cydia called DirectControl. This is going to be so useful on the iPad! When you double tap the home button, it shows the iPod, brightness, volume and orientation controls FIRST, and you swipe to get to the running&recent apps list. Brilliant!

lol so basically it's something for lazy people that can't be bothered to take half a sec to swipe left??

with each new update there's less and less reason to jailbreak :)

Well, if we are going to say wanting to work efficiently and save time is lazy and bad, then everyone who are clamoring for multitasking can just exit an app, wait for the next one to start, then shut that down, go back to the previous one... It only takes a few seconds each time, right?

Yes Yes, we get it. Jailbreaking is beyond awesome. Anyone who does not do it is a moron! Nothing Apple adds will ever amount to all the features Jailbraking does. In fact its better then the invention of the toaster or car!

There, can we please move on to the thread topic that is about IOS 4.2.

multitasking is completely different and does not support your argument. multitasking has stuff running. but jailbreaking for daft things that are only less than a second away is absurd.

like i said, with each upgrade to iOS, jailbreaking becomes more and more redundant

Well, sorry, I certainly didn't mean to derail the thread. Now why ever did I start talking about jailbreaking in this thread? Oh right, because someone posted saying they were contemplating jailbreaking because they didn't want to lose the lock orientation switch. :D

I didn't realize the touch had been JBed...that is good news. My wife still has one, so I will give it a try.

But I doubt I will buy another because the camera sucked so bad! At least compared to the iPhone 4.

I was thinking folders would have been my favorite, but now that i'm using multitasking, it is great, with Skype, with other chat clients since you now can really work on two things without having to start your apps once again every time someone talks to you in IM+ or when you are using Skype.

Hope some apps like Skype become universal soon!

Multitasking, unified inbox, multiple exchange accounts, and folders for me. I rarely print so AirPrint doesn't help me much but it is good to have.

This. I can't wait for the unified inbox!!!! Since I have it on my iPhone and love it, I can't wait for it on my iPad!!!!!!! Folders are a must now also. I have almost 5 pages of apps, not a lot, but I would like to have them all nice and tidy in folders!!!
