Good luck writing all the device drivers for all the Dell hardware on those ?what? form factor motherboards...

What a strawman argument.

So basically you are saying that a short woman is not a woman cos she is shorter than a tall woman.

Guess what? If that motherboard has the same chipset and same wireless adaptors connected to it, it can be TRIANGULAR for crying out loud, but as fair as the OS is concerned it is the same!

Dells and Macs are hardly the same... Same processor and even same chipset does not equal same hardware by any means.

Mate, Look at the thread titled " osx on pc" and you will see what i mean by SAME HARDWARE!!

The only difference is the case and OSX. Dont get me wrong, I still prefer paying premium, but all Im saying is that Apple do charge higher for their computers. Dont tell me that a Hardrive in a Powermac is superior to that in a dell. Its the same one made possibly by the same company like Hitachi or Whatnot.

Are you for real? I am talking about proprietary hardware found on machine specific motherboards like hardware management/bus controllers and other chipsets along side the north & south bridge chipsets.

Oh, if I am not mistaken, motherboard architecture does play a significant part in system efficiency and stability.

And I love all women... I don't know where you got that strange analogy.

Keeping in mind that we are talking about complete prebuilt systems and not plain build-your-own systems, I was simply trying to poing out that unless it is the same motherboard it is not always the "same hardware..."

There are bigger difference than the case and OS X when you compare manufacturers who use proprietary components like Dell and Apple, even if you have the same CPU, memory, northbridge chipset and hard drives. (where ever you got hard drive from. funny though)

You’re not alone
I bought a Mac because I hate windows, now Apple sold us out because they knew people would ditch their Pecee’s if they could run windows on a Mac. I hope boot camp applies only with Macintels that have Leopard installed as a OS.
I mean I knew hackers would, eventually find a way to install Winblows on Intel i Macs, just didn’t think Apple would make it so easy. Apple should have coded their hardware to prevent windows from installing a macs.
