I've only just noticed, I got Wii Sports in a proper dvd box, when I've seen some pictures of the same game, just not in a proper box.
What do you mean "proper dvd box" like the size of a normal game? My system included a little square package that unfolds...

my rents wanna get me one for christmas , and dont mind me doin the dirty work to get one , but i dont know the easiest route .

There are tons of threads around here, a lot of people had pre orders, a good few (including myself) went out launch day, and some are just plain ol' lucky

right , do u know if targets / best buys ect are getting restocked again before xmas ?
Yup, the North American designs were completely different from the rest of the world I believe.

Believe me... that forum will help you so much. Keep an eye on the sighting threads. The latest word is this Sunday is another campout day, so that may be your last best chance before the holidays. Depending on your area, you may want to arrive at least a few hours early. I waited in line for five hours (well worth it, trust me) and was number 15 out of 30 (supposedly).

Just wondering, is there any delay between the moment you do the moves with the Wiimote and the moment when the character in the game does the move you did?
I picked up a Wii on Tuesday and absolutely love it -- so much so, that it actually motivated me spend the weekend finishing up the "home theater" project I've been working on for the past 6 months or so. There's still a couple things left to do -- a couple more pieces of A/V equipment coming in this week, and some movie posters will be put up on the blank white wall, but... here's my new Wii setup. (I'll be putting the Wii in the equipment cabinet as soon as my wireless sensor bar comes in -- the cord on the normal one is too short.)

It's a front-projection system -- the "screen" is painted on the wall and I added a border, so it only cost $25 or so.
I did have a friend whack the projector the first time he played Tennis on Wii Sports
but luckily it didn't get damaged. Now me make sure to play a bit closer to the screen -- making sure the projector isn't directly overhead
