I posted this in the other thread. But most likely this is a mess up from :apple:. They thought in my opinion they had enough bands to allocate to the local stores and also to ship out to customers. Once they realized that they did not have enough for both. They basically put our orders back in processing till they got more bands available. Of course I'm guessing, but that is my best guess of what happened.

This is crazy!
Brown Leather Loop Medium
Ordered April 27th
Charged May 19th
Preparing for Shipment May 20th
Preparing for Shipment May 21th
Preparing for Shipment May 22th

no tracking info as of yet....

Certainly plausible, as long as your order consisted of a sport band. There haven't been any sightings of Loops, Links or Buckles (except for classic) at stores. Until that happens, Apple still has some explaining to do.

On a side note: maybe "Preparing for Shipment" is the new Processing?

Has anyone had their items delivered without getting a shipped notice?
Within the current context, no clue. But I distinctly recall awaiting a "shipped" email for an iPhone years ago, when the brown truck guy pulled up in front of my door, phone in hand. The shipped notice showed up the following day. Go figure.

Anyone know what these bands are being delivered by? UPS, FedEx, USPS....

Just got a shipping notice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Brown leather loop! Order Date April 27th.
They're shipping UPS, delivers Tuesday 26th.

Just got shipping notice on Link Bracelet, it's shipping Fedex 2-day. Guess they're using multiple shippers.

Also got my shipping notice today...FedEx, delivery May 27. Ordered 42mm link bracelet back on Apr 16, it went to "PFS" this past Wednesday and took 2 days before it was shipped.

So going off this thread's anecdotal evidence, preparing for shipment means virtually nothing more than processing. Only difference is they've taken your money.

Wow Apple... just wow.

Well, two days after switching to PFS, my orders have shipped!

Blue Leather Loop is coming by UPS

Link bracelet by Fedex

Same delivery date of Tuesday 26th. Strange they wouldn't ship them together...

A Toronto band fan says s/he walked into an Apple Store this afternoon, and walked out with a band.

Thanks for the link! Been following that thread too. Managed to snag myself a black leather loop, at a store. :D

I have to say this: if you have a Leather Loop on order, you will not be disappointed!

Coming from a WSB (as my default band) the leather loop is head and shoulders above it, in every way. It's extremely light and comfortable. And in the hour+ I've spent with it on, I haven't experienced the "ghost taps" from magnets shifting.

Going forward, my WSB will only be seeing action during workouts. Too bad the loop isn't waterproof. ;)

Just ordered my Green Sport band 42mm this morning for my Apple Watch and from what I have seen, it'll match the Space Gray beautifully.

Got a delivery window of 5-7 days. Because of the holiday its expected to delivery between the 3rd and 5th of June. Pretty happy and cannot wait to get it in! My black band is showing a lot of wear and I'm tired of looking at it.

Thanks for that. Seriously!

I got the blue sports band yesterday at my local apple store! The space gray looks really good with it! I am definitely going to go back and get the green.

For people who had their band shipped on Friday, by FedEx:

Is anyone else's Link Bracelet showing its last scan as "in transit" Memphis, Tennessee?

I know it has probably stopped for the weekend/holiday. It's just a little concerning though, seeing as Fedex is promising delivery on Tuesday 26th by noon.

Got a 38 mm ML at the Apple Store today for my Space Grey sport and cancelled my online order. The space grey sport looks great with the ML so I would recommend it for anyone with a SG Sport.

Apple charged my cc and my order went to PFS on May 21. Original order of the separate link bracelet 42 on May 9. Went back to processing on May 23 and still stuck there. Anyone else have this happen?
