its basically a 9 inch iphone....
yes the iPad is like an oversized Touch, has no multitasking, no camera, no inputs.
but i dont really think you can call it a failure until you have seen it. as Steve Jobs said in the keynote it is a lot better to use than just watch. it gives a large screen multitouch viewing pleasure for the internets, Mail, interactive eBooks (with searching!) and its vast apps that will become available.
i dont love it and will get an iPhone instead, but saying its FAIL i.e. hating is a pretty strong term.

im in agreeal with you there. its features and usability looks very (VERY) basic. but it will be perfect for many many people.

nah i think ill get an iPhone instead. but i was hesitant about the iPhones first so you never know. stevey is right, you have to experiance it.

i still have the same sort of mind set of the iPhone - its a toy. always will be. i dont want one, my e63 is perfect (want an e72 now though!). i really want an iPad but lol.

Because... I don't even find my touch useful enough to be bothered carrying it around. Is this going to come with a lanyard or something?
Of course since it's the work of Jobs, it will sell.
