Yes, these types of posts don't do anything to stir up trouble or incite an argument. It's only the iPhone sheep that cause trouble.

You are just an innocent bystander caught in the middle of the fracas.

You're better than this Dave....

Yes, I was thinking the same JR, appreciate it if you would remove the quote, I'm gonna remove the offending silly post.

Two things that come in handy with the S5 that I have really appreciated

1. Water Resistant
2. Ultra Power Saving mode

Both have been life savers.

I wish more phones would use the materials like on the moto x. I don't care about aluminum, heck in phones it actually has some pretty big disadvantages, but I can't stand shiny plastic.

The whole obsession with aluminum is actually kind of annoying as for reception purposes aluminum is a terrible material for phones and aluminum phones are also hard to take apart if something breaks. The moto x on the other hand is very repairable. It feels just as premium as the aluminum phones yet has much better reception, small bezels since it doesn't need a window for radios like on the HTC one, and is more durable and repairable. It also doesn't feel and look cheap like the Samsung's and iphone 5c. The 5c is ridiculously slippery as well.

Samsung got burned by iMore LMFAO!

How so? The Galaxy S5 video was a done by Samsung UK. So when are we going to see one done by Apple?
Because it would void the warranty....then it would seem as if Apple was saying the iPhone was water resistant in some way.
difference......Galaxy S5 is IP67 certified. So the ice bucket challenge does not void the warranty. Drenching an iPhone in water could trip the water sensor and void warranty and brick the phone.
But both videos are funny! :)

Yes the iPhone isn't water resistant. Your point?

I wouldn't want ugly ass port protectors like the S5 anyway(not to mention it's the bandaid phone) I am much more content with mah Nexus 4 or soon to be owned, HTC M8.

Anyone who's read this subforum with any regularity would know that even though I have fairly extensive eperience on both platform, I quite clear lean much more in the Apple direction. Yet, even I can recognize this was a pretty amusing shot by Samsung directed at their competitors (though I'm not a big fan of the forum those chose to use, a bit self serving in the name of charity).

The only 'burn' in the rebuttal iMore was the final statement by Siri (also, IMO, pretty amusing). The fact that the clearly 'rear injured' (as MR doesn't seem to like my first choice in adjectives ;)) iMore editor dumped water on his iPhone did nothing to rebut Samsung clearly identifying the water resistant aspect of the S5. There's plenty of reasons why Apple didn't reply in kind to Samsung, among them being the fact that dumping water on your iPhone will likely trip the water detection sensor and void any remaining warranty. All the iMore editor did have a temper tantrum, get upset that his favorite toy was getting picked on, and quite possibly convince readers of his site that doing the same to their iPhone is acceptable. I generally like Rene Ritchie's take, especially some of his podcasts, but as a commenter on the blog post stated, 'his fanboy was clearly showing' with that video.

And really, who cares what iMore did. Samsung made nice ad and donated to the charity. Did iMore did the same thing?

Rene did the ice bucket challenge himself last week and donated then.

If it generates money for a good cause it shouldn't be seen as a bad thing. That being said, I'm kinda getting annoyed by the over done IBC.. The ice bucket challenge has just become the latest spam Facebook chain letter trending thing, and I highly suspect the revenue donated to ALS and MND is far less than the amount of people copycatting for the sake of having a video in their profile walls. Someone told me they were going to nominate me today, I told them not to bother. I have donated € to the Charity, and at the end of the day that is more important than another feckin chain video....

It is annoying. I didn't mind the celebs doing it and at least they mentioned ALS and most likely donated. All these people on facebook don't even mention ALS and I doubt that they are going to donate.
