I won't be able to order until the 1st, unfortunately. I really hope Best Buy carries these on launch day, though that seems highly unlikely. I'm a good two hour drive from the nearest Apple Store, so I suppose I'll just order online on the 1st and hope I get one within a few days after launch.

I moved and don't have an Apple Store here so I pre ordered for delivery to my home. I'll miss all of the hoopla unless I can recreate the experience at home. I can just imagine the look on the Fed Ex driver's face as he pulls up to my house 
I wanted to pick it up at the local Apple store but I will be working. I pre-ordered a 16GB model. I hope 16GB is enough! lol

Have the same one (32gig wifi) setup at the Leawood store. You mind picking mine up so I don't have to get up so early!?! lol
I live out south, about 26 miles for me to get there, but I'm sure come April 3rd I'll make may way there in time.
My wife and I will be staying with family in either Olathe or Blue Springs that weekend for easter. I go to school in Springfield right now. So that timing works out really well. I actually just made a meetups thread. I called the Leawood store and was told that they would be opening at their regular time of 10am that day, so we don't have to get up SUPER early, which is nice. I'll probably get there between 8 and 9am.
Sure I'll pick yours up, but my wife just might decide to keep it for herself! So you might not want to do that! Wifi = win, especially for iPhone owners. Not really necessary to have the 3g or GPS, and especially that ugly black bar that wraps around to the front! Yuck. My only concern is that I might end up needing the 64gb, but I'll probably just pass it off to the wife next year and get a new one.

Otherwise I may just wait, it's always fun to chat with other people in line, hell with my 3G phone in 2008 I actually met a guy that is now a customer of mine, so was a nice bonus!

Since we are all getting them on the 3rd what did I get by paying the extra $12.00 2/3 day shipping fee?
Also, should we be getting the shipping notice around the 1st?

I read some posts about buying either Wifi only or 3G ipad. For a family nurse practitioner, do you think the 3G ipad would be useful if i'm going to be at clinics that's questionable if they have Wifi or did I answer my own question?

if I were you and you needed access no matter where you are even if you use the iPad only at the clinic, I would still get the 3G version for more flexibility when using the iPad.

Thanks everyone!Well, I work in an ER and we all have iPhones and just use the wifi. Most hospitals don't get very good coverage anyway. Also, you won't have to spend the additional 15-30$ a month with wifi. There are not many places I can think of that I would go to use this device that do not have wifi except my car.
