That's quite an order. I bet you're hoping that the next Apple Watch can still use the current bands. Those are some nice ones.

Haha, you did some serious damage. How do you find the CWS leather bands? I have two from them and the leather is so thick that the bands are uncomfortable to wear.

Which leather strap do you have?
Their dapper collection fits and feels better than their Rally one though, if that is what you bought. But the Rally are still ok, no unpleasant feeling when wearing them.

I'd say the least "comfortable" straps are their Nato (which I purchased as a gift hehe). When you've tried the Nylon strap from Apple (or in fact any other staps they sell (sport, classic, milanese)), you become very picky about comfort.
I would love to try their Nylon/leather straps, but they don't make them in 24mm. Hopefully someday.

I need a new band, I went to a wedding on Saturday and my white sport band stuck out! I'm looking to get a brown leather one, just like Apple Classic buckle but at a fraction of the cost. I'm a bit reluctant to just order from any vendor on amazon as I'm worried about quality, don't want the strap to fail and chuck my watch on the floor.

Are there any brands I should check out that are tried and tested by the macrumours community?

Etsy is a leather band goldmine. There are ones you won't see anywhere else.

I haven't tested this brand out however, there are several great reviews of these bands on YouTube.

http://www.hellonomad.com/products/strap#buy

Genuine leather straps + the lugs, which attach to the watch itself, are actually made by Apple - straps look awesome.

These are expensive though at $150 per strap, however, if you use the discount code of STRAPPY, it gives you 50% off (just tried it and it is still valid!).

;)

Apple would have a huge PR nightmare of they made the second watch in such a way, that the current bands would be incompatible.

I wish people would stop saying that. It's absolutely ridiculous.

We're talking about a company that just addressed serious concerns by giving everybody that speed boost instead of forcing their customers to upgrade in order to get a faster watch.

A company that people post about practically weekly for having such good customer service that people feel obligated to talk about their experiences.

Does that sound like a company in the business of being slick and shafting their customers?

It's all paranoid thinking. Not gonna happen.

Here is my little collection. Besides the white Sports band they are all 3rd party bands.

Not a big fan of the Hoco Link Bracelet. I was hoping it gives the more a more expensive feel, but now it feels more like a retro Casio watch. Regardless it's a very comfortable band to wear, but you need a professional watch maker or the Apple Store to adjust the size for you.
Personally I prefer the leather band in Hermes single tour style. Extremely comfortable, minimalistic and stylish. Goes with everything. The other one is a blue leather band which I bought of Amazon.

Hoco Link Bracelet (had 50% discount in the Apple Store) - $60
Hermes Single Tour - $50
Blue Leather - $50

For what it's worth, the Jisoncase tan leather band I posted earlier in the thread broke yesterday. This is an inexpensive band to be fair and I've worn it daily for 2 months now (overnight as well). However, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a watch band, even an inexpensive one to last more than 60 days in normal use.

Any recommendations on a similar style band that may be more reliable?
