Fantastic band. Absolutely love mine.

I agree. Just make sure if you do BestBuy to get a look at it first. Mine came with branding on the outside of the longer strap. Their website shows no exterior branding. Other than that I can give a thumbs up to Nomad. I can't wait to break it in and get some patina on the brown leather!

I have no branding on mine except on the inside of the strap. If so, you may be wearing it inside out.

I have their iPhone X case to match. So nice.

Is the Nomad case the same hue of brown? I've been looking for a case for my Xs. Thanks. I'll try not to put that on backwards ;) Thanks again.!

Has anyone heard of the uk company named thewatchstap.co they have a very nice black link strap but not sure on the quality.
https://thewatchstrap.co/product/wsc-link-bracelet-space-black/

Please don't! I've copied a very extensive post i have written once, about this company, while replying to someone who bought two fake sportsbands for a jawdropping 70 bucks:

"I have to agree with @zerolight on this one.
It looks like cheapass watchbands, paired with a good looking website, to give you the idea that you are actually buying quality. I bought all my bands at Aliexpress, and they look better than the ones from WsC. I would NEVER pay 30 pounds (that's 38 dollar people!) for a fake band. The original is only 10 bucks more. I very much doubt if these are even actual Fluorelastomer.

The Milanese Loop:
"This ultra-sleek, intricately woven stainless-steel strap is designed to fit your wrist perfectly". 75 pounds. Damn girl. That's 95 dollars. But of course, it's on sale. For "only" 55 pounds.

The Link bands: was 129, now on sale for 79 pounds. That's over a 100 dollars. Just, nah, don't do it. It hasn't even got the link buttons on the inside.

I would kindly advise: don't buy.

Ps: i visited the site for the second time, and the chatbot said: "welcome back, just to let you know, we've extended our sale".
Note: there is no sale. It's all about convincing you to pay a load of money for very cheap bands.

I have posted (IN THIS THREAD!) the very best ripoffs in all sorts, in my honest opinion. Look them up a few pages back.

-----------------------------

Edit: So i thought, let me look up the company on google maps. The adress stated on their website should do it, right? "17 Ensign House, Admirals Way, Canary Wharf, London E14 9XQ". Apparently on this adress, the following companies are located:
- Flex Office (telephone answering  )
- Investor in customers (business development service  )
- The Website Group (guess who made the website for the wonderful watch band company ;) )
- some other small companies.

As we would say in the Netherlands: dat is geen zuivere koffie. (which translates to: that's no clean coffee, which means: there's something fishy about it :D ).

Ps2: the band you bought is probably just fine, you won't notice anything about it, it's just that the band is worth 2 dollars. That's it. And you paid 70 for two bands....

just a little lesson for you readers at home: always know where you're buying, what you're buying. before you're buying :)
"

Edit jan.21 2019: guess what: they are still on sale! And only 8 hours remaining....:rolleyes:
Please listen: don't buy from tWbC.

I notice the buckle for my hermes taobao band has poor engraving when compared to the Apple Store. The Hermes in the metal is much deeper and better quality. Kind of disappointing. However looking at the pics @zerolight posted, his seem better. Wonder if the deployment buckle is lower quality.

I'm no fan of third party Sport Bands compared to Apple's fluoroelastomer originals, would not waste my money on knock-offs. The latest Sport Loop copies* however are rather decent. The loop itself doesn't slide through the Watch adapter as smoothly, but overall I am quite impressed, certainly much better than the first versions. Highly recommended.

A pity the Milanese Loop's magnet still attracts metal on the outside, so no improvement there.

*Mine are from URVOI via AliExpress as some others have recommended.

I agree I got a couple of sport loops from them that I was pleased with two weeks ago.

Unfortunately, I also ordered some sport bands and a milanese loops a few days ago. It looks like I should temper my expectations this time

I compared mine to a buddy’s legit and it’s exact. Spacing to engraving. Unreal

Thanks for taking your time to “review” them - agree that a good looking website can go a long way convincing people into thinking they buy quality.

Just for the record, I don’t mind cheap bands for the beach, swimming or stuff like it, but don’t pay more than they are worth

Yesterday I received the Pad&Quill Nato Sports band that was on sale. A little stiff out of the box. But I'm sure it will develop a "memory" to bend and/or soften up. It is not uncomfortable by any means.

At this point in time my favorite comfortable, to wear, band is the Apple Sport Loop. I do miss my black, unlined Horween leather band that my kid chose out of my band collection. I think that was a P&Q but I can't find it again on their website.

On minor criticism is because the band is stiff I had to wrestle the metal keeper over the end of the band. No big deal.

All in all it is another quality product from Pad&Quill. As with many of this company's products the maker initials the band on the underside. That is a nice touch. The presentation box with the "royal" wax seal makes me smile.

At the sale price I can say it is a really good bargain if you are looking for a well made nylon style band.

Note the blue color is darker than the picture depicts. In low light it almost looks black.

Another new 3rd party band arrived in the mail today. I was fortunate to find maker "Mister Crafter" on Esty.

https://www.etsy.com/shop/MisterCrafter

Walked out in the freezing cold to the mailbox. Well worth the "Polar Bear Plunge" as it turns out :D. Ignore the temp. reading on the watch...that is Cupertino, not my geographical location.

Full disclosure. I was kindly offered a discount on my next purchase as I communicated with the maker (after I purchased the band that I intended to post a review on MacRumors.

I'm not a professional reviewer. I just want to spread the word on anything I find that others might like to know about. I worked summers in Massachusetts shoe factory many moons ago. I know good leather work and this is!

Feast your eyes. I'm in love! I was looking for leather in this rich burgundy color. Note the striations in the leather. They really give it character without looking too much "alligator" like. Reptile watch bands are not my thing.

The stitching is first rate. The underside of the band's finishing comfortable and is well finished. The hardware is all metal with the appropriate little bumpers so the bands stay put while on the watch. I've got to remember to remove the plastic bumper for watch band shots!

Mine is just barely etched into it. You can sort of feel it if you run your finger over it.
I wonder If I should bother contacting the seller...

I would not worry about it, it is my opinion that while this bands might be a GOOD copy of the original, they are NOT original, regardless of what most people say on here...

I'd prefer it not to have the engraving at all. The buckle itself is nice quality and the strap adapters appear to be genuine Apple items. Of course the primary reason to buy the Taobao strap is the leather quality.

Anyone bought Barton watch bands?

Yes I have a canvas and a leather band. I like both.

For me with a 44mm watch the 22mm bands seem a little narrow. Barton told me that they are coming out with their canvas bands in 24mm later in the year. These will be bands only (no adapters) but you can easily find 24mm adapters.
