New Band i got for my friend at work for her Space Gray 38mm Sport.

It's a custom authentic Fendi crocodile leather in pink leather. Came with quick release pins which i had to remove. Installed some black adapters from Inkoo seller on ebay. Took over 1 week to arrive from only 40miles away but worth it.

Spring bars on lugs have been around for decades so no reason to expect wear from previous watch parts to be any different than lugs with spring bands today (unless it's a shoddy part).

The lug with an elbow pin like Apple uses on the classic band should be fine if you follow Apple's "Band Design Guidelines for Apple Watch" for developers which clearly shows on the diagram that the interior adapter uses "screws with threadlocker". It also states "screw tp be discarded and replaced if removed". So people buying this type of adapter online should be following that as well. I found the pdf of the publication online (r2 05/06/15). It also gives diagrams for the lugs used with dimensions for both the 38mm and 42mm watches.

They look good - possibly affiliated with one or both of these ebayers (very similar images):

I haven't bought one yet, still getting over the credit card debt from the watch...but I'd love to see real life photos of any of these leather loops if someone buys one.

Thanks. Did you already buy these? I want to make sure some of mac rumor users can attest to the quality.

Also, has anyone bought any Moto 360 bands? Someone posted that question and it looks like a good idea. They have good leather bands for $30 and is 22mm

I ordered them...
But didn't received them yet

I have 4 of those adapters. They're fantastic and for 24mm bands. Arrived very fast.

Has anybody tried any 3rd party leather loops ? I really want one but 150.00 is ridiculous from apple. Thanks

Based on everything I have read, the clone leather loops are all scams so far.

I have a 38mm or I would glad pay for the leather loop from Apple. My friend has one with his watch and I think it's pretty sharp.

There's another thread where we've listed the scam sellers on ebay. At this point it appears anyone offering a leather loop is lying. I've ordered two so far, and wound up getting refunds for both. Some people have not been so lucky and haven't gotten refunds.

This is my 3rd party cushioned black leather strap with a carbon fiber pattern on my 42mm space gray.

Nice...link? I've been looking at Kevlar/Carbin bands, but leather with that patter might be the best of both worlds. Might be a nice upgrade for every day wear. I'm currently using a harvested silicon band from one of my MK watches.

You got them from "The Utica Guy"? Spring bars just like that? Any problems with the mechanisms (parts falling out from the release button area)? Better than lugs with elbows?

It's too bad these types of bands don't come installed with adapters. :\
Yeah I agree. But I had already received some adaptors, one set with springbars as seen in the pic. Received my regular gunmetal/black adapters yesterday and may put them on this strap to make it all black.
