Received my poetic 'Volante' Band today.

Although the leather is great, the adapters are garbage. I had to FORCE the metal end piece through the buckle, and the keeper is loose as all heck.

Two bands today and both are utter trash.

I think I'm done with 3rd party bands for now. None have been of outstanding quality.

I got my 3rd party leather loop for 42 SSG from ebay yesterday. I cant compare it to the apple one as I have never tried it. Its ok but there is a slight gap on the connector where the silver comes out.
I guess you get what you pay for. Otherwise it looks fine for $21.

So here is the Happycell v3 black steel band. Unfortunately it is going back. The color isn't bad though obviously not a match for the space grey sport. However, it has a few issues.

1. The bright steel shining through was more noticeable in person than I had anticipated. I was hoping the photos exaggerated the effect but they don't. That is what you see.
2. It is a fingerprint magnet and makes it look oily and dirty IMHO
3. I wore it for an hour in my office and after about 15 minutes I noticed the fleck of black missing from the coloring of the steel. I checked and that was it. 20 minutes later I noticed another spot near the watch. You can see it in the pictures. A few minutes later another spot appeared. Something is wrong, the black coating seems to be flaking off while I am typing a proposal on my laptop. Bizarre. It must be defective.

I was really hoping for more with this one but no way I can justify paying $88 for this.

Sorry HappyCell. The good news is the version 2 of their leather loop is very nice so far. I'll post on it soon.

Thanks for the review, I was looking at this Happy Cell a while ago, but the 4 star reviews looked fake, didn't see any "Verified Purchase" reviews that gave it a REAL rating. This helps!

Here is a pic of my watch bands so far.
The black one is the original Apple.
The other colour sport bands are all Moko and the leather one is a replica from eBay.

So far I think the Moko ones are great.
The leather one is also great but not had it long so time will tell

I like the Moko sport bands as well. My only criticism is that they seem to scratch easier than the Apple ones.

Had 2 moko bands come in last thursday, but both had them black things lying arround in the box allready at Arrival. Also the white had some bad spots out of the box.
Hope the replacements are better

Does anyone know if the 38mm link band sold by freedomoclock from Utica NY on eBay would fit a 145mm wrist?

Just got the red Moko sport band through today and the indigo version should be tomorrow. Initial thoughts are its pretty good quality. Nice fit and pretty indistinguishable from the black offical version I have.

I posted this on the other thread but thought it would be helpful on this thread as well...

This just came in. Looks really nice! My wife says it's a good tone of purple.

Anyone know of where to buy these from besides Amazon? My wife just got a watch this weekend, showed her this band, but Amazon says it's sold out and they don't know if/when it will be back in stock for 38mm which is what she has.

If that's the moko purple, I'm returning a 42mm one that is actually 38mm with a 42mm label slapped on it. Sold by Bcsstore on Amazon.

Hi guys.

I tried reading the last 15 pages or so, but this 3rd party bands seems to be hit or miss.

Can anyone recommend a leather loop, and a black/space grey milanese loop from a 3rd party. Preferably eBay. Since i can't order from Amazon (live in Norway).

I appreciate everyone who is taking the plunge to order, but i really want to make sure the 3rd party bands are at least ok, and not garbage.

Very happy with this leather band! Everything was already put together and was about $25 from Amazon. Smells and feels like real leather.

Surprise
Has anyone got the Moko sports band Indigo color? I want to get it but would like to see how it looks on the SSG.

Just got mine in today, however I have a Silver Aluminum Sport.
I really like the color, although it is a thinner than OEM and even a bit thinner than a couple of others I got off of eBay. It also seems to be more sticky than OEM as I noticed blonde hairs on it after petting my Yellow Lab and Golden Retriever.
