OMG i forgot about SC2000!!!! wow. my n my gf got into a SM2000 phase about 4 months ago, played it day in day out. how good is it!

Can you get SC2000 to play on intel? I tried a few months back and didn't get anywhere. Everything except OS9.2 is freely available right?

Guess, it's parallels then. Who would've thought that 7 years in the future, it would take 600 megs of ram to play SC2000 :D

A few more I haven't seen posted yet (in order of greatness)

Mac only - Ambrosia software's Maelstrom - the best version of asteroids ever.

Mac compatible - Starcraft.

There was an entry to the Mac Game programming contest uDevGame several years ago. It was called Tank World (2003) I think. There was one map where you could drive to either end, go into this ramp that went 180 degrees and came out on the ceiling/floor above where you just were. You could aim straight up and shoot at the other players.

Yeah it was multiplayer online enabled. I bought a RADEON 9000 to put in my G4/450 (under the desk here next to my work G5 now) to play the game better.

Another awesome game: Hollow Ground.

Also a good crop of game from Ambrosia:

Ferazel's Wand (platformer).

Deimos Rising. I got a USB gamepad clone of the PS controller to play this.

Harry the Handsome Executive.

Other games:

Close Combat: A Bridge Too Far (spent way too many hours/days playing this including an mod to make it an African campaign instead of Op. Market Garden).

And the best MMO tank game ever: Bolo

BAHAHAHA

nah i make winblows sweat on 480mb of RAM

I'm going to correct myself there. SC2k was released in 1993, so that was 15 years ago...wow.

Plus I have a couple of games to add to my list:

SPACEWARD HO!
Deus Ex (how could I forget this gem?!)
Maelstrom (loved the evil laugh when you lost)

Lode Runner. Best. Game. Ever. I still play it when I use my cousin's old iMac G3 at the beach house. Such a good game. Here's a link.

Ah, F/A-18 Hornet. I remember when my Dad and I got that networked between two computers. A great game for sure. Then my Mom banned it because it was causing my siblings to be "too violent" in their play.
