I might consider a refurbished shuffle it comes out, but I don't need 4 GBs for a shuffle, I might just get a previous generation now.

Once Sennheiser Comes out (Or The MM50's Work, which i dont think they do as they lack some buttons) with some Headphones, i will pick up a Black One, its pretty cool, just to clip on, i really wanna try the control method too.

Mines shipped at midnight (or thats when the e-mail arrived). Not specific in where its shipped from, nor any tracking no.

Mine shipped last night also, expected on or before the 20th:)

my expected delivery is March 18th but it seems that every time i order an ipod it arrives a day before the expected date so hopefully tuesday!!!!

I picked up a grey Shuffle last night at the local Apple store.

First impressions: Small, light, and likely to get lost within a few weeks! :(

Be sure to download Voiceover installed. If it's the same voice as the one heard on Nanos, then I'm going to get rid of it.

Are these the same headphones currently selling for $29? If so, I'm going to sell them as I have no need for them since I use the In-Ear headphones.

Cheers! :apple:

The $29 ones have a built in mic. The ones included with the Shuffle don't.

Got one today at a local Best Buy (had a $20 certificate). I have been using my iPhone while working out, but I did not want to worry about anything happening to the phone. It sure is small. The only thing I would worry is misplacing the little guy.

The headphone issue is not a big deal as I was using the ones that came with the iPhone with no problems and these are the same bud types. They will do for moving about. When I really want to listen to my music, I listen through my Bose headphones with my iPhone.

Picked up one in Black today at the Apple Store.

I love it. Small, sounds great, the earbuds i like so that wasn't an issue and i like having the buttons on the cord.

I just wish you could fast forward in the song. oh well.

You can, double click but hold the second click down. To rewind in song triple click and hold the third click down.

I'd like to know how fast it takes to recharge from dead to 100%.

My first gen takes forever and I don't get 12 hours anymore. More like 6 or less. LOL

Hey guys,
I'm in the market for a new USB stick. As my iPod Touch doesn't have Disk Use :)rolleyes:), does the shuffle 3G have disk use? Looks like it could be pretty useful...

EDIT: D'oh. Just read another thread that says disk use is enabled by default. So I've got my answer!

...and it's FAT32

Dark grey? You mean black. I saw them in person today. One is black, the other is silver.

You have to enable voiceover to hear the actual titles, otherwise all you hear is the generic titles like you've described.

I got a silver one today, aka dark whitish. ;) So far so good. Every time I get a new iPod, I swear it sounds better than the others, but I think that has more to do with me cranking up the music out of excitement. That said, the Shuffle has always been favored by the audiophile set. Who knows what DAC chip the 3G uses?

One gripe; mine came with a small but noticeable nick in the edge of the aluminum. And I actually rejected 2 others for more noticeable scratches seen through the plastic box. As ususal, the first ones show signs of being rushed out the factory door.

Also, the clip is kinda lame. A shiny fingerprint magnet, very thin and sharp, and the "gripper" inside the clip is sharp, meaning if you pull it off your shirt too quickly without opening the clip all the way, you could snag it and damage your shirt. The 2nd gen Shuffle was far more nicely made IMO, especially the clip.
Mine also had a chip in the aluminum. Pretty annoying!

I received my black 3G today in the mail all engraved and pretty. I must say I enjoy the controls. The headphones are ok but nothing to get excited over. They will work fine until I get in ears or a 3rd party set.

What did you put for the engraving :) ?
