Dont understand the point of all these thredas, i mean just buy and imac now if you need it. and sell it when the new comes. macs have high resale value, so the next imac won't cost that much.
Sounds pretty useless to me. What would LGA 2011 be then? PCWatch is the only source that has mentioned it and that was ages ago. Reports I've read suggest LGA 1155 for mainstream (maximum of 4 cores) and LGA 2011 for high-end & server market (+4 cores)
I'm not just waiting for a sandy bridge iMac, I'm waiting for an iMac that has: blu ray, USB 3.0, light peak, HDMI, faster FireWire, expresscard slot and microSD (I think that what's it's called.)
