Hey would you be kind enough to check the iphone 8 plus model you returned. Which model no. was it for e.g. A 1897, 1863 etc. Want to see if there is a faulty batch on a particular series.

To clarify, even if you could pinpoint a particular issue with your iPhone 8 based on another model with your theory, that doesn't mean it's a widespread issue with that specific batch. Just Because what you experience with your iPhone 8 for that specific model, doesn't mean it's going to happen to the next person who has the same model iPhone As you.

Yes, I understand all that...what I am trying to find out is for example if all the yellow tint display issues are found to be on the A 1897 model. I could be more confident in buying the A 1864 model that is sold here in India where returns are a hassle. Thats all.

It is true according to my observation. I saw at least 10 IP8+ users in my company and only one use IP8

How do I check this? They were space gray 256gb Verizon models.

I did run a serial check on that website that lists the factory and date, if I recall correctly they were both F1 Foxconn made in Oct (I don't remember the week but they were both the same).

Verizon is A 1864. Thanks a lot sir. Its helps.

I ended up purchasing an 8 after trying out the 8+. Nothing against the 8+, it's a great phone but just too large for my use. The X is something I will look into the next year or two.

I Suspect to the price point of the iPhone X, wil have many keeping their devices longer than usual, because they may not have it paid off if it's financed through a carrier and phones are increasingly becoming more expensive to upgrade annually.

I can see why the 8 Plus is slightly more popular. For me my "phone" is not a phone, it's a pocket computer. So I wanted a pocket computer with the biggest screen possible and that was the plus. I rarely use my 8 Plus as a phone, but I use it frequently as a pocket computer. It's like having an iPad Nano in my pocket.

This is my case. Thank you for mentioning Nano. I'm torn apart between X and 8+. iPhone/iPad is my in-the-field computer (Notes, Pages, pdf viewing, www, mail). That's why I'm leaning toward 8+.

That would similarly apply to 7+ vs 7 or 6+ vs 6 in previous years, so it shouldn't be that different this year as far as that particular reasoning goes.

How can you find out which one o2 in UK has? I had a look in store comparing the screen to my 7+ and the 8+ looked very yellow and unpleasant. I am thinking of upgrading on Monday but don't want the yellow screen!
