I have been buying Apple products for 15 years. I don't purchase products regularly, but I have owned a product in every Apple category (laptops, desktops, iPhone, iPad, etc.) I have never been more ecstatic about a purchase than this new iPhone SE. I am upgrading from an iPhone 7 which you'd think would make an iPhone SE upgrade negligible and unexciting, but I am absolutely loving this iPhone.

I always buy base phones, so getting the faster processor, double the storage, 1GB extra ram, and all the other features makes it so much more enjoyable than the 7. Also, I feel that the additional mm in L and W + added weight is more comfortable to hold than the 7. I also prefer the glass back to the to 7's aluminum-- feels less slippery.

Overall, this is an amazing iPhone at an amazing price. I ordered mine from Walmart for $199 and it arrived in two days in mint condition. I also love the fact that as much as I love this iPhone now, I won't hesitate to sell it or give it to a family member (because it was so affordable) and buy the smallest iPhone 12 if I really want to take the next step with iPhone tech and spend 3 times the money.

the flexibility options on the SE2 if you got the Walmart deal, are awesome

I too could be a candidate for the 5.4" 12 @ $649 (+ storage uptick depending on how that shakes out) without breaking the bank, especially with a gift card on standby forever now still not used.
Yep.

Like I was already planning on doing it to begin with. The pandemic and a possible reduction in work hours was making me reconsider but the Walmart deal just made the SE2 so much lighter on the pocket.

actually double the base storage of the SE Compared to the 7 because they both support 256GB

I'm really glad you enjoy it.

I have to admit, one in black and red was seriously tempting me, but my 6s has been through a lot with me so I stuck with it.

I imagine later down the line this 2020 SE will still be a great phone for many types of user.

Had that same feeling when I upgraded from my x to xs max.

Missed the larger screen size while using the x that year.

I too did the Walmart deal but got the 256g one for $350.

I do have a question: Can you not quick respond from the lock screen for text messages?

I agree.

I like the 4" screen and the small form factor.

I'll be sad when mine finally dies and I'm forced to get a larger phone :(.

It's a known bug/feature on the new SE...Apple could possibly enable it if enough number of customers ask for it and given that it works on other iPhones.

"arriving in mint condition". I would hope so being factory sealed :p

haha. What I meant was that I've read some posts about people's new phones arriving with scratches on the screen or some other flaw. Also, I guess some people don't like buying iPhones through Walmart for some apparent reason, but my experience was great.

Welcome to not being jaded with technology! I used to buy the newest everything every year until I grew out of it. Now, every time I "upgrade" I don't take it for granted. Makes me respect the previous device even more for lasting so long!

Hands down yes, best iPhone value in years.

A fantastic upgrade from my iPhone 6s ... but I do miss the headset jack a little.

Glad you are liking it. I was very tempted when it came out, and it took great restraint to keep my 7 and wait for the 12 lineup in the fall. Reading posts like this tempts me again.

With the Walmart deal at just $250-350, it's kinda like cheating. I've spent that much to get Androids for tinkering with.

I got the SE both as my DD and for my collection as last 4.7" TouchID iPhone. However, I'm open to getting the 5.4" iPhone whenever it's released.

I'm a 7 user and i ordered the SE 2020. Sent it back. Disappointment. Too much money only for the A13 Bionic and for the "hyped" same camera. In daylight the 7 rocks and no difference between them and for low light i use my dslr what is the best. 4k exporting is faster with the 7, this SE 2020 is a big joke. I will wait for the 12-5.4" and if it's coming with the same awful 11's pro OLED screen i will keep my very fast 7.

It’s a great iPhone, just like it’s predecessor. Sometimes less really is more.
