This thread isn't about the obvious differences about Android and iOS. It's about the little things that make an experience for better or worst. Please keep that(little things) in mind before criticizing me about my point of view. And feel free to correct any facts I got wrong.
First lets start with the home screen (Icons)................
I'm the type who likes to separate my icons into folders. With Android, the icons on the home screen are basically widget shortcuts of the app drawer. I like this cause it allows me to do something I could never do on iOS, and that is putting the same app icon into more than one folder.
For example: I place the Youtube app under a folder I named "streaming" and under a folder I named "Video". Pandora would also be placed in the "streaming" folder and also the "Music" folder. You get the point. This makes it extremely easy for me to instantly locate an app as sometimes I might think of any app as being in more than one of the folder categories I've created.

Not sure if Apple just legally owns this feature or if Android's framework just makes it difficult. Anyhow, It's something that I will always miss about the iPhone and what I still love about using my iPad.
I'll give Samsung slight credit for trying to implement it into TouchWiz on the GS3, but it sucks and only works on a few default apps like contacts and email. Plus you have to tap the top of the phone itself, not the screen.
Wireless Networks .............
For work and socially being on the move, I connect to wifi networks frequently. Problem with iOS is you can't view, change settings, or forget any SSID unless it's in range. Besides my slight OCD of forgetting a long list of unused networks, I've also come across other reasons I needed to do so. Like when one of my work networks uses a temp pin/token or when I come across some default router SSIDs. I usually forget default SSIDs whether it was secure or open right after use, cause I always run into spots with the same default SSIDs and will constantly get enter passcode popups, or auto connect to terrible non secured service that can cause me to miss an important email, skype message, etc.
The easy solution would be to turn wifi off when not in use, but there are places I go on a regular basis that I like my phone to be wifi connected to without me thinking about it. My home being the number one place.
With iOS you need to reset ALL network settings to achieve forgetting networks that are not in range.
T9 dialing ............
Why doesn't iOS have this? It's faster than searching contacts. Some oldies are still very productive.
Calendar Events ..........
I wish iOS calendar could have more robust settings when adding an event. The time and alert increments are sometimes too spread out for my taste. Also, I would like the option of more event alerts for a single event. I'm a "press snooze" kind of person and the more reminders before an event the better. One other thing missing is adding images to an event. It's sometimes much more simpler than typing in some notes vs taking a picture of a document or directions.
Email ...........
I enjoy the stock email app on both iOS and Android(Email app not Google Mail app). The iOS email app is without question the most visually pleasing. What I like about the Android email app is the ability to delete all from inbox. I also like the dated dividers with the date and day name that you can hide or cascade vs on iOS which just has an date stamp(without day name) on the headers.
On iOS6 you can finally add picture from within the app, but I'm disappointed that you can't change style of font while composing. On Android you can do all of that.
Email notifications on iOS has always been more cleaner when using multiple accounts. The headers on the notification bar is more legible, while on Android it seems more cramped together. The last two JB updates have improved this slightly but still have progress to make. Also, if I'm going to see multiple email icons on the status bar, at least make them differ colors according to account.
