Two things.but im so afraid to drop it. or get it wet
Did you play Warcraft reforged? This laptop is absolutely amazing. The battery life on it is better than what I got on my iPads. Absolutely love this machine - cold to the touch all the time (except when playing games with my external 4k monitor - which it does really well) - instant iPad fast OS response - I can let it sit for days and it sips in standby.
A few days ago, I plugged it into my 4k monitor, played a couple Starcraft II games and noticed... oh my, I forgot to plug it into power... and it barely lost (if I remember right) 10%. That just floored me lol.
I don't regret trading in my 2020 MBP i7 for it. But I'll probably upgrade to the next gen M1 when it comes out because I'm really missing 4 ports and more ram (I'm a heavy parallels user).
I am afraid to get any computer wet. Don't eat or drink near a computer. liquids + computer => junkits so slim so light great keyboard and display .but im so afraid to drop it. or get it wet
All my MacBooks going back to my 15" Al-Book have been in hard-cases like that, so the net decrease in thickness is the same me as for anyone who doesn't use a hard-case.If I were to put something on it, I would go with a clear skin. I can't imagine putting a hard case on it since that would impact the feel and bulk of the super slim unit.
I started with hard cases and they tended to get marked up, added bulk, and always cracked in the corners after a couple of years. So I switched to skins or naked. So far I have not had any issues and I really like the thinner profile. And I always get excellent condition ratings and top value when I sell them. All my MacBooks going back to my 15" Al-Book have been in hard-cases like that, so the net decrease in thickness is the same me as for anyone who doesn't use a hard-case.
I'm fine with a the hard-case getting marked up instead of the computer's itself; generally, I find the ones with the rubberized coating hide scratches better, and are easier to grip, than the smooth glossy ones. Replacing a $20 hard-case every two or three years is something I'm fine with.I started with hard cases and they tended to get marked up, added bulk, and always cracked in the corners after a couple of years. I started playing WoW in BC. I retired last year and let my subscription expire. I still do AOE and Starcraft II now and then. Played classic a little - and I'm very tempted to go back for the BC classic.Did you play Warcraft reforged?
I never played Warcraft 3, so for the single player ,reforged sounds Oke. But I have some difficulties finding out, this plays good on an air 8gb.
The hard case really does not add much bulk or weight, so the difference is negligible at best. I got a custom skin (graphic I made myself) from DecalGirl and applied that to the M1 Pro, then put a clear case over that, I've always gone with a clear hard case because I want to protect my investment while not covering it up. The decal works great because the graphic I first created back in 2012 (when Macs only came in silver) actually matches perfectly with the Space Gray many current Macs use.I am afraid to get any computer wet. I keep mine in a soft-sided case when it is not used, just like I do all my laptops. So far no issues in 5 months. The finish seems to be holding up just fine and the unit looks like new.

Yeah I started WoW way back when TBC just came live. After I figured out I really can not combine WoW and work, I sadly stopped playing.I started playing WoW in BC. Never played Warcraft III (other than to just try it once or twice). I played Warcraft II as a kid. lol.
I'm tempted to try them
Get an OWC Thunderbolt 4 dock. I have had mine for about 2 weeks now and it is great. This laptop is absolutely amazing. The battery life on it is better than what I got on my iPads. It is possible to boot from an external drive.A comment - the new Macs with M1 chip can only boot from the internal disk. So if your internal drive won't boot you will need to go to Apple to get it fixed as you can no longer boot from an external drive. Plus it is almost impossible to do anything if there internal won't boot.
It still needs a working internal to start the boot process. I’m not sure how SSDs fail if this might be a problem in the future. It is possible to boot from an external drive.
FYI, I dropped two unibody Apple laptops, twice on a tiled floor, and nothing was broken (well, the aluminium took a dent, but everything was still working).its so slim so light great keyboard and display .but im so afraid to drop it. or get it wet
That wears off after a short while... You need to get it christened with some stains/dents!...am just really careful handling it. It's such a beautiful gadget--I don't want any dents or scratches.
