You will either pay exorbitant prices for Macbooks/iMacs/etc, and maybe every few years Tim Crook will 'bless' you will a lower powered, higher priced device, but it's time to face the facts:
The old Apple is dead.
Tim Crook and co. is coasting to retirement, and have put all their eggs in one basket (iPhone). If it ever falls Apple falls too, but the simple is, they no longer care about the old pc line.
Apple is never going to push the boundaries or come up with new groundbreaking products as long as Tim Crook is leading it. They will simply push the iPhone and raise prices.
