While not a really lengthy opinion article it does have a few points about how the new features are getting more incremental then breakthrough's.
But it has a clickbait caption and then goes onto praising Apple, lol.

I think the iPhone 16 would be something to look forward to with in-screen face-id and perhaps the notch disappearing almost completely.

I still use an iPhone 7 (not kidding)
And I'm still unsure if I need to upgrade...
Bravo! However, when you have to look, at how you can "upgrade" for free.
That is the situation I am in, I didn't pay for my 12...T-Mobile did (similar deals with AT&T and Verizon) and better yet, no longer limited to new customers they steal from competitors, but now offered to their existing customers. But there is a trap - I don't know where the cutoff is but your iPhone 7 is too old for full credit to cover the cost of the phone, and that is the situation I am in...how long do I hold the 12 before full credit for a free new phone erodes away. When I upgraded the 6s for the twelve, T-Mobile only assigned a $349 trade in credit, so I went on Ebay and for $100 got a refub 8 that generated the full $799 tradein credit fully covering the cost of the 12 with monthly credits each billing cycle. Independently sold the 6s to Gazelle for $60, recouping most of what I paid on Ebay. Also at that time it was limited to new customers, so AT&T paid me $250 for "Bring your own phone" and after 45 or 90 days (I forget the details) was considered new customer at T-Mobile, so I returned and was eligible for the free iphone...also keeping the $250 as AT&T didn't have strings attached like Verizon. Thankfully it is now extended to current customers so don't have to go through that exercise. I just need to upgrade, not because I need the phone...but to stay in sequence of them fully buying the phone for me. If I elected to go to the higher priced Pro model, I would have to pay the difference, but could probably repeat the Ebay experience with a Pro level refurb to trade in where they would cover it, then independently sell the 12. Also, I became eligible for the upgrade last April but held off on a 14 upgrade knowing the 15 was coming out.

I love the new Action button on the iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max. I programmed mine to be a POWER OFF button using Shortcuts and it is great to have an easier way to turn my phone off than that janky Apple solution. I may turn it back to Camera, at some point. I wish Apple would allow for multiple options (single push, double push, etc.) as that would make it even more convenient.
