I found the text of the articles nearly impossible to read on the iPhone. You can't rotate to landscape, and the text-on-colored-background is too much of a challenge for my eyes. So I don't know what I think of the content, since I gave up on trying to read it.

Edit: I am referring to iMagazine, announced a couple of posts earlier but otherwise mostly unrelated to the original subject.

I just have some feedback for your magazine apps. It would be nice if it would be easy to read when you open a magazine instead of having to zoom in and scroll all the time. The font is so small you have to zoom in so much and then can only see a part of a page.

I had the same reaction when you last provided some codes. At the moment it is stored in iTunes but not on my iPhone, pending the time it becomes readable to me.

Please understand that due to the iPhones small screen the only way to make it "readable" zoomed out is to have about 8 lines/page. We're working on a "magnifying glass" feature since it seems like thats the best option. If you have any ideas please let me know. Is zooming in really that bad?

Yes it is, when you can only see a small fraction of a line and have to scroll side to side repeatedly to read an article. It's frustrating enough to make me give up altogether. And it's aggravated by the patterned colored background, which is nice enough to look at, but hard to read through. I have "mature" eyes. Perhaps it's my physical limitation, and you're not aiming for the geezer demographic anyway.

I know you are limited by the screen. Can you allow landscape view at least? It wold help. And maybe wrapping text lines to fit the zoomed screen so you don't have to move left and right repeatedly for every line?

I'm not a programmer, so I don't know what constraints you are operating under.

zooming in isn't bad, having to constantly move the screen around is what is bad. You have to read a few words, move the screen, find where you left off, read a few more words, then repeat... it takes alot of the fun out of reading. A landscape mode would be for the best i think, even a magnifying glass could get annoying.

I would love to be able to tap to zoom on blocks of text, like in safari or pretty much every other iPhone app with lots of reading. Or at least a landscape mode.

The only bad things I've ever heard anyone say about this is its poorly formatted interface. Good pics and stories, but its really hard or just annoying to try to read..

BTW: How often do new issues get put out?

And what magazine would this be?

THE magazine
that's the actual name

actually pretty entertaining. A lifetime subscription is a steal for 2 dollars imo
and if you can catch it on sale for 1 dollar, even better

Why not. Its only a dollar. Just needs some formatting tweaks for iPhone screen regarding copy. Other than that, looks pretty good to me. :)

True, but I would have been happier with an update to the interface. I like the content on here, its just really annoying to try to read it, scrolling all around....

Any word on when it will be updated themagazine?
