Looks like you missed a bit on the left. Don't feel bad though I do that all the time, lots of holiday snaps with heads missing etc. ;)

Excellent...
You know my mom once took a picture of me in a new suit at Christmas.
Got the suit, cut off my head...

Two things have always fascinated me... space exploration (not just sci-fi, but the real stuff), and submarines. Anything with a submarine on TV, and I was hooked.

I love the moon though, even though it is bleak and barren compared to many of the other heavenly objects you see on NASA's pics of the day. There is just something forlorn, brooding, lonely and incomprehensible about it. I just identify with the moon... sorry, getting a little carried away here.

Great pic, I used to have the "famous" earth pic as my start up screen on my very old mac

Email it to me (after adjusting it per Mr. A, of course), and I'll host the full-res version for all to enjoy!

If you do adjust it, you get better results using the RAW file and doing it in 16 bit - the convert it down to 8 bit :D

fuzzwud - the 20D is great and there are a bunch of threads on the camera and others in its range so you can see if its what you want. but go to http://www.dpreview.com and check out what they have to say - its much more indepth.

I love my 20D - I just have to get out and take some more pics :D

sweet photo iGary!

I myself have always loved new moons, and sunsets.

I have a request. Can you take a photo of a new/full moon with a set of clouds (high sirous) streaming over it (and or around it)? In a kind of warewolf like setting, if you catch my drift.

I feel like going for a prowl all of sudden ;) .
