America is such a beautiful place, I envy the people who live there.

Interesting viewpoint.. Us Americans envy so many other countries and their cultures for our perceptions of “lacking” X …
(Insert X: history, maturity, sophistication, etc )

Boy that sure is nice green grass you have over there, what’s your secret ?

I wrote this years back when asked where I was born:
“I was born in a solar system that resides along one of the galactic arms of what is locally known as the Milky Way galaxy.
The planet, 3rd from its star, is a beautiful one. It has these inhabitants that still argue over whom they feel created them, a primitive race that still has much maturity to do.
Under political boundaries that existed in 1962 (local time measured according to a big social event), my birthplace was the city of Detroit , located in a state that resembles one of the species appendage’s which are locally called hands.”

These are pretty fascinating to me, did my Advanced Venomous Handling course a little while back, and got to work with this impressing 2.8m Black Mamba (Dendroaspis polylepis)
For context, I've always been into snakes and kept them for years, but now I am qualified to do relocations and removals in my Province, where Mambas are pretty common
