It's another Apple cash grab. 128 GB would be spot on for most users but they want you to pay the premium for the 256 GB model.

Yeah I know, I’m just lucky enough to still be more than comfortable with the base storage.

Unless I’m missing something, there is no way to connect wired headphones to this either. It doesn’t seem to have a headphone jack and Apple doesn’t seem to have a USB-C to minijack adapter ready either. The prices on these are insane.

Typical Apple prez reaction from me.
I'm like, I need this now.
Then afterwards when you look at the real specs, it isn't worth it for me.
How much better a display is it over my OG iPad 12.9?
I know it is a big deal but I don't need an iPad to run Photoshop.
I want to stream Netflix and have it look amazing.
Super Retina? Give me a break with that term.
Come up with an affordable, OLED type display with perfect blacks, then we will talk.

They want it all to be wireless, including the microphone, but I am betting someone might come up with a USB-C mic.

Forgot about the lack of headphone jack. That's incredibly inconvenient, there was plenty of space for it in the device and again puts you into dongle hell. Previously on long flights I've been able to use a USB battery to feed my iPad Pro while using wired headphones at the same time.

It's nice that it's about 60 grams lighter (Wifi+Cellular model) than the 2nd gen.

It’s available as a $9 accessory from Apple.
