This product is still under private beta. People entering the private beta signed an NDA and are therefore forbidden to disclose any information. In other words, the topic starter is violating the NDA and you'll have to wait till the product is officially announced.

VMware Fusion 3.0.0 is not really a private beta. You can download it from VMware's site under the Community section with a 30 day trial. It certainly outperforms 2.xx and looks promising.

Fusion now has a new menubar dropdown. Very nice actually!
In order to access that forum you must be a member of the private beta. You are violating your NDA by posting that picture.

What NDA...please show me this NDA.

An EULA is presented to you when you download any version of VMWare, production or beta. Perhaps you should read one sometime?

If you missed it, they are kind enough to give you another chance in the About VMWare Fusion dialog box.

Read the email you got from VMware it says that you can't discuss it and it also links to the EULA which also says you can't discuss it. Post about it in the VMware forum outside the private beta forum and they'll move your post with the warning you're under an NDA and you're not allowed to discuss it. Maybe you'd see it if you stop rolling your eyes ;)

@tofagerl: VMware does not discuss anything about future products. We don't know when version 5 will be out, what it will cost and what the features are. The same goes for the private beta and the upcoming version for 2.x. People have asked many times and that's what VMware employees answered each and every time. Just like Apple: wait until it's out.

Aero! Excellent news, looking forward to a final version of 3.0, out October 27th apparently.

All about version 3.0.

Sweet! I'm qualified for the free upgrade with the one I bought on Amazon yesterday. Almost tempting to buy another instead of forking out $40 to upgrade my version 2 since even $27 wo rebate is still less than $40.

I'm going to have to read the fine print, but I bought Fusion 2 off Amazon yesterday for $26. It has a $30 mail-in-rebate since I already own Parallels, making it free.

According to VMWare's page, I can upgrade to 3.0 for free. All around good deal for me anyway.
