I am personally trilled with the device...

Sony-Xperia-T-2.jpg

Looks very sexy :D

I've always felt that the 4.65" size of the Nexus or a 4.5" is the perfect size for a smartphone when it comes to my own preference. The Xperia T has a gorgeous 4.55" screen at 1280x720 resolution which i think is just what the doctor ordered as far as screen size goes. The 13mp camera with 16x digital zoom is bound to be fantastic too. Sony's implementation of Android also looks very nice and with the PS4 using Android too, one can expect some very cool things will be possible with and between both devices.

..

I wonder if the rumored Xperia Nexus will actually see the light of day, I definitely hope to see more Google + Sony, phone just like the Xperia T with stock Android from Google would be quite a thrill.

It is coming out in september right? I think I just found my next phone and first Android device. Hope the carriers here sell it.

I'm very excited with this phone. I've plan to bought one of this along with iphone 5/6 :D. It will be my first android phone.

but one thing that irks me is how that curve on the back side affects handling, have to see and touch it in person before.

Only 1 GiB RAM.

Don't see why that's a problem really. The international version of the SIII also has 1GB of RAM as does the HTC One X and the Galaxy Nexus. Considering that the iPhone 4S has 512MB of RAM, it is quite likely that the iPhone 5 will also have 1GB of RAM. I think the amount of RAM is fine, it will run Jelly Bean and apps with no problem.

1 GiB RAM is what phones should have last year to be properly ready for ICS.

A phone should last at least 2 years.

After doing some search, it seems that 256MB of RAM is the minimum requirement for running ICS and that it runs quite well with 512MB of RAM. You may need more RAM if you are going to run intensive apps like 3D games. But for the usual stuff it would seem that 512MB is more than enough.

Yeah it is like this with all smartphones. You really need to touch and feel it before buying it. If there is anything that worries me about the Xperia T, it is the placement of some of the buttons, the ones in the lower right side to be precise. I would need to use it to determine this but it seems like they will be a bit tedious to reach and use.

ICS was made with 1GiB in mind.

The Sony I bought 1 year ago has 512MiB and that is not really enough for ICS.

That you can run the latest Android now with 1GiB doesn't mean it will be enough in 1 year for the next version.

I really hope rumors of 5 nexus devices being released (each by different manufacture) are true. We'd see something like this instead.

Oh yes please let it be true...an Xperia Nexus...I want. But I think it would be in black to keep the same color across the Nexus line.

There are things that I like with this Xperia phone like the led notification bar, instead of just a little bulb like on the S3, I like that you have access to the Sony game vault and movies, and it isn't too small. Doesn't look bad either.

I don't like the arched back or the 1GB of RAM or the fact that we are only seeing a Qualcomm dual core CPU.

Every flagship phone coming out now should have these as minimum specs: quad core CPU, 32gb internal memory, 2gb of RAM, LTE, 310+ ppi, weigh under 165 grams, and if it is Android (Jelly Bean for the OS).

That Experia Nexus design looks fantastic.

If it has

Quad core (A15 Architecture/Samsung Exynos 5 Quad) SOC
2GB Ram
720p (or hopefully the upcoming 1080p (400ppi drool)) Super AMLOD HD + screen
16/32/64 GB internal with support of SDXC card(up to 128GB card)
Removable battery
12 MP camera (with low f)
Software Buttons
(Needless to say..NFC/LTE/BT4/MHL MicroUSB/ the rest of the stuff..)

I would buy it in a flash. Such a phone running Jelly Beans would be pure heaven.

I really am looking forward for the 5 new nexus coming out..to replace by current(yet awesome) galaxy Nexus

PS: Personally I think the Sony Experia design is one of the best if not "the best" smartphone designs out there. Sony knows design.

PPS: I love how the transparent band on the bottom supports multiple hidden color LED notifications.

My Trill is better:

I found it odd I had the desire to watch Insurrection on Netflix. Wasn't till I saw Trill that I remembered this post lol

I hope so too!

Before the iPhone, Sony Ericsson was my favorites. I've had over 12 Smart/Super Phones since and none of them were Sony.

Google needs to then set a standard as far as hardware for each then. Let them put their own design touches, but their should be some consistency if it's going to remain a developers phone.

Sony is great when it comes to design and building quality products. I really hope to see Google and Sony work more closely and do some awesome stuff with Android. The PS4 is said that it will use Android and we also have the rumor of an Xperia Nexus. I hope they get the chance for the Nexus line, I would like to see Sony on the spotlight, getting good reviews and new users.

I've always been fond of Sony, have owned several of their Ericsson phones, Playstation has been my console of choice during the three generations they have been at the game and I also have my PS3 and PS2 hooked to my 44" Sony Bravia. Have never experienced any problem with any of their products and with this new Xperia phones coming out, I am very much set on my next phone and first Android device.

Haha, give someone 2gigs and suddenly its the standard.

As Android moves forward RAM is critical. More RAM the better IMO. I could have the minimum 4gb in my MacBook Pro, but I find my dual SSD setup runs better with 8GB. If I could have 4gb on a phone I would! I like to multitask. Call me crazy.

And yes, Samsung is making 2gb the standard. S3, now Note 2.

I guess I'm the only one that finds that device hideous.
Nope. I'm with you there. The weird arched back & general shape is bad enough, add to that the dumb looking green Sony logo thingy and as if branding on the front wasn't bad enough, hey let's print the model name in huge letters on the front too! :D

It's fugly.
