And yes, Samsung is making 2gb the standard. S3, now Note 2.
LG was first with 2GiB.

I hope so too!
Before the iPhone, Sony Ericsson was my favorites. I've had over 12 Smart/Super Phones since and none of them were Sony.
LG was first with 2GiB.

Anyways, the device looks lackluster to me. Sony appears to just be recycling the same unsuccessful formula for their Android phones. They have no clout in the marketplace, and I doubt this new product line will have any impact. They've been lugging their sorry behinds around for a while now, it's kind of sad to see.
I see. So because Apple sells more phones, it is okay to recycle the same formula/design for 3 years straight?
I knew you'd quote me on this. Blah blah iPhone design only 2 years old blah blah Apple innovates blah blah rebuttals blah blah hypocrisy blah blah endless argument. I'm not in the mood right now, sorry.
Your words not mine. Why would you post something about recycling same formula, knowing full well this is what Apple has done. What's good for the goose, is good for the gander.
Because they've done far more than that. Do the iPhone 4 and 4s share the same hardware design, and does iOS retain the same look and feel? Yes. But they still innovate and add new features. Listen, you clearly don't like Apple's approach of incremental updates that refine the core experience while introducing some new function and finish. You think Apple is hypocritical because it ripped Notification Center from Android and it itself hasn't innovated in a long time. I totally disagree, but nobody here is correct. All I know is I'm quite sure neither of us is going to sway the other, so why waste time with these frivolous quarrels?
P.S. You forgot to mention Apple ripping off split keyboard, wireless syncing, BBM, OTA updates, Google maps, opening apps from the lockscreen, Do Not Disturb mode, and so on...
Frivolous? Is that all I am to you? I thought we had something together.

Lol.
Sir Mac.World, noble adversary, in my current state of apathy and fatigue I respectfully surrender the final say to you, lest our conflict carry further into the night. As formidable of an opponent as you may be, the hour of rest has arrived. Should your forthcoming comments provoke some fury, though, I shall resume my defense per usual. May our battles proceed on a later date.
I wonder how the battery life is, and the screen clarity under the sun?
The official site has this in the specifications:
Talk time (up to): 7 hours
Standby time (up to): 450 hours
Music listening time (up to): 16 hours
Video playback time (up to): 5 hours
Obviously these are estimates, as battery life depends very much on how the person uses the phone.
Would you know how that compares to the 4S by chance?
I was kidding, didn't report him for real. It is common in some forums I frequent to say "Reported" in response to a post you disagree with

iPhone 4S specs on Apple site:
Talk time: Up to 8 hours on 3G, up to 14 hours on 2G (GSM)
Standby time: Up to 200 hours
Internet use: Up to 6 hours on 3G, up to 9 hours on Wi-Fi
Video playback: Up to 10 hours
Audio playback: Up to 40 hours
The specs are so different between the two it's like they're two separate phones.
I never said Samsung was the first, just that they are making it their standard and by proxy, the Android standard, since they are pretty much the only game in town Android wise. LG isn't even a player any more.
