Blackberry is not bad and neither is that new Sprint phone with a screen on both sides. Of all the phones, the Blackberry looks the best. For MP3 players, if I got one, iPod all the way. As for which OS, OS X by a mile.

I am just not so sold on iPhone, but I know it's the most popular and common phone out there. They own the smartphone market.

How well does it sync with iPhoto smart albums?
Due to Apple's closed nature, nothing other than Apple hardware will sync with iPhoto (I'm guessing you knew this already). "Use iTunes to sync them to your iPod or iPhone to enjoy and share on the go." Missing Sync for Android would most likely sort this issue out if it was a necessity.
Will my contact photos in Apple Address Book sync over the air along with the contacts?
You can sync your contacts on your Mac to Google (complete with photos) and which will then sync to your phone. All of this can be achieved "over the air" and for free without the need of a MobileMe subscription.
Is there a way to sync my Safari bookmarks over the air?
Once again, due to Apple's lack of supporting any non Apple hardware, I don't think this is possible. Perhaps a 3rd party has been kind enough to make something work this way?

I would easily switch to an N1 right now, in fact i think a lot of people might if the new iphone 4.0 does not have a HUGE wow factor. I think some users of the iphone are getting a little tired of the Apple way of things.

Besides that andriod is now on most major carriers and multiple devices. The more wide spread android devices the more it will catch on. Its the exact opposite of Apple.

Last time I looked, I never did say "Android and the N1 are so much better in every way."

I was merely answering questions. :(

I appologize.

I am a VERY visual person. I hardly ever read screen names and didn't go back to page 1 to check. All you people with Android icons kind of look the same to me and I was working with a 15 minute old memory.

I thought you two were the same person.

(Now ask me how I feel about people with no picture at all!)

Maybe on the outside the iPhone looks the same but on the inside it had lots of improvements, both hardware wise from the 3G to the 3GS (3.0MP camera with auto focus and tap to focus, ability to take macro pics, more control over exposure, video recording, etc; compass; better processor; double the RAM; double the capacity; 7,2Mbps HSDPA; better battery; improved speakers, oleophobic screen, Nike + iPod...) and software wise (copy and paste, landscape keyboard, universal search, tethering, better YouTube app, Find My iPhone, MMS, genius mixes, voice memos...) plus all the new APIs that made so many great apps possible. Just because the upgrades weren't anything you were interested in doesn't mean they weren't significant.

Still relatively the same inside compared to newer Android phones, to be fair though Apple will likely release a phone this year to compete...

For the sake of argument... The camera, being 3.0 is still weak. Most of your "improvements" were just the camera! That's a minor feature of my phone. Even if it's a big deal... EVO now has 8MP camera with 720p video recording and autofocus as well. Double the ram? The EVO has even double what the 3Gs has. As for HSDPA speed boosts, the 4G benefit surpasses that.

But... Going on the trend of iPhone updates we'll probably see a new phone with a 1GHz processor and twice the RAM again. If Apple wants to stay ahead of the media market, I imagine we will see a camera that will compete with the EVO (maybe not the front facing one, but I honestly couldn't care less).

Last year, when the 3Gs was released, the bar hadn't been raised since Apple released the 3G. This time HTC/Google raised the bar with the Nexus 1 and now the EVO. Hopefully Apple fires back with something impressive! :)

Don't care about syncing with iPhoto or bookmarks (never synced those with my iPhone), I use Gmail contacts which syncs over the air

The oooonly way there would be an Iphone Killer would be some crazy person who stabs people with his iPhone.

Actually for the longest time, the competition hasn't been anywhere close, but Android is starting to get better. Its just missing some polish.

Starting? Was the last phone you looked at the Hero?

This thread and topic has been done already.

Not original.

My apologies, but I DID in fact search. Honestly I think that every new thread on this site has been done before, maybe a year ago if that, but who has time to search through 15,000 pages of threads to "make sure" they do not repeat. I used key words and read some of the others, and still I saw none. :) But thanks for pointing that out, none of us are truly original, I mean 90% of us have the same phone for crying out loud! LOL!!! :D Maybe I should customize my phone to the point that no one knows what it is anymore.. I could be original then, right?
