It is about wanting money back, the OP was complaining that some people got a refund. OK well be happy for the people who got theirs. There is bound to be some confusion when things like this happen, I'm sure by tomorrow or the next day I'm sure they will stick to the 14 day policy. Didnt the same thing happen when Apple had new iPods come out with the school promo going on, some people got the new iPods with the promo others were SOL.
The point of the OP was not to complain about the price differential.
An inconsistent refund policy looks BAD and is incredibly unprofessional. It's unfair to all consumers, whether they were given the refund or not.
I frankly don't care if people got a refund, let alone am I "happy for them". That's not what this is about.
Because some people are exceptionally vocal complainers with lots of time to sit on hold, they've (apparently) been given a refund outside of the normal price guarantee window. That's poor policy for other customers who don't have time or resources to do that.
Institute a rational, reasonable refund policy. That was the point of the OP.
