More over, maybe Apple us working with AMD and NVidia to ensure compatibility between their GPUs and the A series chips.

We won’t know until next year I bet.

At this point the most likely outcome is that Apple will rely on their own integrated GPUs. They certainly have attained a reasonable (decent) level for their consumer Macs already, I suspect they have the higher level iMacs and 16" MBPs covered too. The question mark is for the Mac Pro.

My personal bet is that it will have a decent integrated GPU too which will make it suitable for Audio professionals and maybe developers, the mystery is what they do for high end video, animation, CAD etc. I'd bet on more FPGA cards along the lines of the Afterburner if I was forced to bet right now.

Nothing per se, of course.

Still interesting - consider this: Apple an Nvidia are fighting a feud for reasons we do not know. As it seems Apple does not want to have anything to do with Nvidia (and maybe vice versa).
If Nvidia acquires Arm - good luck with that when negotiating licensing next round up
I don't really see what's in it for a chipmaker like Nvidia, Arm's business model pretty much means they'd be investing money into updating and improving their IP/ platform, then having to license it back out to their competitors? IPO seems more likely to me, the only tech giant I can see with any sort of real interest would be Alphabet, and then only so it can get stuck in to improve the Arm core designs to help Android OEMs against Apple's chip offerings (and maybe to underpin chrome books?).
