What the heck are you talking about?

Settings>General>Reset>Erase all Content and Settings

This should securely erase all of your data. The secure erase was added in 2.0 because of complaints that restored iPhones could still contain user data.

how long does this take? I have never did it but a friend did it and it was taking forever so he called apple. he said they told him it was like 24 hours or something. is this correct?
 
I went in with a faulty iPhone, that had been jailbroken, I had dust under my screen. I used Sbsettings to hide Cydia etc. The genius did the test and he did a swap without saying anything. My heart was in my mouth whilst he was doing the checks however!

where do you find sub settings?
