I dont have to unpair the Sony's to pair them again. In fact pairing them between my devices is as simple as going into devices and choosing it. It then immediately connects. Probably takes an extra 2-5 seconds than my Airpods.

ok, looks like I misunderstood that part. My wh-1000xm3's behave as described. My readings of the reviews of the wf-1000xm3's made me believe that problem persisted.

You don't need to unpair the WH-1000XM3; you just need to temporarily disconnect the headphone connection from one device before connecting it to another- the WH-1000XM3 will pair with 8 devices although you cannot connect to more than one device at a time. Bose (and Apple) is a lot better in this one area, but it's not necessary to unpair and re-pair each time you want to listen to the Sonys on a different device.

Ok, I'm still confused. With my over-ear Sony's I have them paired to my iPhone, iPad, and AppleTV. If I listen through my iPad at work, then go home and want to pair them to my TV, I must first open the iPad and go to the headphones in Bluetooth settings and disconnect them (not Forget). I can then pair them to my TV.

The PITA is that my iPad might be sitting in my backpack somewhere else in the house.

Is this behavior the same with the true wireless model?

You seem to be using the terms "pair" and "connect" interchangeably, but they aren't the same thing. When you tap "forget" in iOS settings, that's unpairing. Tapping disconnect is not unpairing. I have not used the WF-1000XM3 but the documentation for switching between paired devices is the same as for the WH-1000XM3.

Yes, I'm being imprecise in my language.

My understanding is that both versions of the Sony's - over ear and true wireless - can be paired with more than one device at a time, can be connected to only one device at a time - and in order to switch which device they are connected to, you must first disconnect them from the previous device.

I find this to be a royal PITA with my over-ear Sony's, and if this behavior is the same with the true wireless model, it's ridiculous this review site gives them a significantly higher score than the Airpods despite the Sony's not having a single real advantage in that category.

That's not how mine work. Just like any truly wireless earbud, they enter pairing mode immediately upon leaving their case. I just go to connection pulldown in iOS on the device I want to connect it to and select the Sonys and they connect immediately. It's barely any different than what I do with my Airpods.

Thanks!

The airpods pro would be a better option but I will wait till they release a black version

I’m sure skins will come out for these very soon. Here are photos of skins I recently put on my AirPods OG...

The best review because you see actually how good they are. Noise cancelling seems decent.

Surprised to see the phone call rating that low. It is one of the OG Airpods strengths.

If you look at their review of the OG Airpods too, the Airpods Pro received the same rating for call quality, so really not sure they put them through full pace. Seems like no reviews really have yet.

Yeah it's a strange one.

Flossy Carter's review (watched it again earlier) was one of the few that rates call quality highly.
