Which is of interest in only one of the 150+ countries they launch in
Launch event was in NYC for a reason. US market first.
They spend some ridiculous amounts of $$$ here advertising the Galaxy line.

They haven't said anything about AT&T/TMo/VZW/Sprint
That's because US carriers are notorious for being the slowest, bloatiest of all the world's carriers to bring new handsets to the market.
In 99% of countries, carriers will literally just get the phone and give it out, or will sell it off-contract.
I understand what they were going for. They wanted to demonstrate in live action, how these flashy new features can be helpful in every day situations.
Rally a great idea, it sounds better than watching a well polished video.
However, the execution was repulsive. Never again. Everyone pokes fun that Samsung copies Apple... well they missed a couple notes about presentation.
Still from what I can see the phone looks great. I'd rather read the specs off a sheet than watch something like that though.
It was almost like they were trying to mimic Google Glass presentation.
Good point. Apple doesn't have an issue with this though. US gets it first
Is there a link to watch the full thing ?

Has it occured to anyone that Samsung knew their presentation was over the top, and did so just to make headlines? Effective marketing, get more people talking about their new phone due to the odd reveal. More people will now know about the latest Samsung Galaxy S because of the weirdness of the announcement than if they did a more proper reveal.
Exactly what I'm thinking. Tech geeks will watch it no matter what. But with the buzz the presentation generated, average Joes will get curious and watch it to see what the all the media is talking about.
