I use it all the time, because I have like 6 pages of apps and most of them are hard to find

Also when I just want to play one song.

As mentioned above, it would be VERY useful if it could search through SMS

I too was annoyed by it at first (accidentally scrolling too far and getting it), but now I love it and use it constantly. Pulls up a contact or a song incredibly fast compared to the alternative.

My primary impediment is that I hate typing on the iPT. So trying to search for anything is just going to end in tears and cuss words.

I wish there was a setting to toggle it on and off from being in the homescreen. I don't care to use it except while Im at work any other time it's annoying as hell.

As always, valuable input and ideas from the MacRumors community. Interesting mix of opinions. I like the ideas of finding apps, emails and especially iTunes content.

I use it multiple times per day. Finding a contact to call, launching apps, searching for emails, and all the other stuff it does.

I've been using it a lot lately after I unfortunately rearranged my apps in alphabetical order.

I wish there was a Category button option the go to all related apps as they are in the iTunes store instead of having to manually doing the arranging.

I use it all of the time if I am in a rush and want to find something quick. I personally never thought it would get put to use, until I realized how convenient in can be.

Tried it when it was first available but no longer use it

I try to keep down to 3 pages of apps (4 at a push) so i can easily find these
Never had a need for searching email/contacts as I can find these things quick enough without

I use it quite a bit, I have well over 600 contacts, so it speeds up finding the ones that aren't saved in my favorites.

I only use it to find emails that would be at the bottom of the list in the mail app or to go to an app that is several pages into the phone and i dont feel like swiping through them all

I never use it even though I don't like scrolling the app screen. What I want is folders. It would help me so much in organizing the apps especially after getting loads of new apps and thinking which to keep.

Hell yes!

I couldn't live without it! it's lightning fast on the 3GS! I probably use it 10 times a day, and more and more to start my apps, rather than flipping through 8 pages and growing... If only it could search through the entire content of emails as well... One of the best, and obviously most under appreciated feature of the iphone! Search, ftw!
