Oh GOD! I just noticed that smell by sniffing my iPod's ports.... So refreshing. I want to buy a MacBook Pro now. All another reason to buy a Mac. My sisters school issued iBook smells like that.

Not really.. I still have my bag from the apple store when I got my iPod Shuffle back in June. No smell.
As someone who appreciates a good smell I can't wait to get hold of my new mini when it finally arrives. It'll be the first new mac I've ever bought. The first of many I feel though - to my bank manager's dismay.
If you're a fan of 'new' smells make sure you get a leather interior on your next car and don't ever smoke in it. That way it'll smell like they day you bought it years later. My mini certainly did. Hold on... I've just realised that both my first car and my first new mac are both called 'mini'. AND my first iPod too!! That's just freaky!! My girlfriend's short too.

Recently I have discovered post it notes to have a similar smell.

For people with *books, try sniffing the latch hole. It retains a lot of the 'Apple Smell'
The best part about getting a new mac is definitely the 'Apple Smell' especially when the fans kick in and the computer warms up. Giving you a potpourri of happiness.

No, seriously, I thought about this when I had my iMac for a day, it smelled kind of... neutrally calming and reassuring. "It's ok" (even though it wasn't but never trust your nose with computers). I just wonder do they have an army of smellers in Apple like they have in wine and car industries.

I can be found sniffing in private.
My I mac which almost has no more sent unless warm
My I pod 5 g still smells great
And some times I'll sniff the insides of my psp.
I only notice this with computer equipment that I love and Cherish?
