Ahh...I finally found the thread for strap snobs who aren't satisfied with the status quo -- Genuine Apple or overpriced Apple-targeted accessories! :D

I've already ranted and raved about the 3rd party lug adapter market elsewhere, so I'll keep it short -- can anyone recommend some decent ones, preferably spring-bar style, and available in grey/black?

Trying to make my AW/cordovan combo happen…(yes, it's not cow...)

Not sure if it has been mentioned here, but Clockwork Synergy makes some nice spring bar adaptors and they do all the matching colors. I have some for my Nike Series 2 and also for my Series 2 SS. They sell just the adaptors for $19.95. A little pricey but they are way better than the ebay chinese ones in my opinion.

got this one the other day...for 15 bucks :) put some conditioner on it and love the feel its leather not pleather.

the best buy I was at last week had several of the platinum and also clockwork synergy ones on sale for less than $20. I snagged 2 of the clockwork ones and one platinum. I was visiting NH (no sales tax) so it was a deal! I agree the leather is nice and the clockwork ones are really thick leather and all of them use the spring bar type connectors. I had around $40 bucks in them and even if the bands were bad (they aren't) I could always use the spring bar adaptors for other bands.

I took a quick look at their website, but their site has some major rendering issues in Chrome, Firefox, and IE. I sent them an email letting them know. Until they fix it, navigating their site is a bit challenging.

I've seen those, but wonder if they're actually any different than those found elsewhere, so given the price, I haven't tried them.

I think it's probably a better deal to buy an on sale band for a few bucks more and harvest the adapters than to buy the adapters alone. For a few extra bucks, might as well get an extra band to use, or not.

And with the discount codes they often run, it could be even cheaper, but I don't know if sale items are excluded.

I first ordered the Black Buckle (rev 2)...it looks actually quite well with the stainless steel Apple Watch.

... The buckle is well designed and perfectly fits the watch.

Enjoyed lots of this thread.

OP, thanks for pointing out why I find the buckle so pleasing. I hadn't noticed that the curve echoes the Watch.

The saddle brown classic buckle is a gateway drug. As is the saddle brown iPhone case. ;)

Here's mine. It's a crazy horse strap with a Pre-V (ala - Panerai) buckle. Not too shabby imho. Brand is URVOI, from china. The adapter is well plated (looks like stainless steel, I'm hoping it is) and snaps in well.

That looks really sharp. I love the black finished edges! I too am interested in where you purchased this.

Being leather enthusiasts and all, does any of you guys in here rock leather bracelets along with your watches? I see it more and more, but still haven't found any pictures with an Apple Watch on them to help me decide if I should take the plunge - like this (sorry these are nylon it seems but you get the point)

Recently got this strap from Coach. Made from glove tanned calf leather, and is super soft. I'm surprised the Coach bands don't get more mentions, their quality is top tier.

Haven't seen any life here lately, here's one of my go to's: Pad & Quill classic buckle, excellent craftsmanship combined with full grain leather. I've had mine for over a year and it just keeps getting better. I wear it to work, around the house, formal events, and parties. Plus it comes with a life time warranty, which is impressive.

Has anyone bought a watch band from Sena? Stumbled on them last week while looking for a watch stand that supported nightstand mode. I have been looking for a nice brown leather band that is darker than the saddle brown band made by Apple. Sena's bands look nice but I haven't been able to find much in the ways of reviews. Thoughts?
