I don't understand the people who have an 11/3 date freaking out that it won get there on the 3rd. Unless theres a payment problem, you WILL get your phone on Friday, gotta ignore tracking, thats irrelevant. They can and do overnight phones. So you should only raise an eyebrow if on Thursday evening you weren't charged/shipped. Its random but they will fulfill all 11/3 orders, unless like i said theres a payment issue or got forbid a weather issue like a bad storm or flooding lol. The people chomping at the bit and wondering about dates are those in the 11/10 group and beyond, because those aren't really set. Lets all just take a deep breath and stare at our cases.

Thank you and I hope so. The wait is horrible. Good luck. I’ll post when I get charged I’m hoping some time during the night or early tomorrow.
Same. Waiting in NorCal.

I do have a corporate discount. Wonder if that has anything to do with it. I don’t think so since it allowed me to put the order through.

Well yea my main concern is payment issue, especially with card companies tagging it as fraud. I also moved so that complicated he billing addresss a bit.

Probably because people had Verizon not live up to those obligations last year. My phone was supposed to arrive on launch day, but it didn't ship until launch day. Once again, I got a confirmation at 12 AM Pacific saying that I will receive my phone on 11/3, but nothing has happened since. After last year, I am assuming the phone won't arrive on 11/3.

And i understand that, but more often than not those are rare cases. Like others said 99% chance people will get their phones day 1 who were promised that. Didn't mean to sound snarky or anything. Verizon has gotten better this yea especially so I'm banking on that as part of the reason for what i said.

It appears that Verizon has gotten better, but they once again have not shipped out in the order that orders were received and people with earlier confirmation times are still waiting. It is easy to say 99 % will get their phone when you are part of the 99 %, the 1 % that don't won't really think that Verizon did a wonderful job.

So I talked to Verizon and they said I couldn't change my delivery address. Can you or can you not?
From what I’ve been told as soon as you get the email that shows it has been sent that you can call and they can send send a ticket to the shipping company to update the address. It’s not 100% and depending on how far apart the old and new address is could cause a delay.

So while we are all waiting for our iPhones, what cases did everyone get? I bought a clear spigen case that will work for now, but I’m not that happy with it and I was wondering if anyone could recommended anything. I really like the Apple silicon cases, but the issue I have with those is that the bottom isn’t covered and with the iPhone X being stainless steel I feel like it may get scratched easily.

I use the Spigen ultra thin ones. Have since iPhone 5...it doesn't cover the bottom, but does a pretty damn good job of protecting my phone for how thin it is.

I really like the Humixx cases from Amazon. I currently have one on my 7+ and got one for my X.
It is a hard shell that is thin with some nice texture (compared to the metal back of the 7+). It covers all sides, has rear camera protection, and has really precise cutouts. I have never had a problem with third party lightning connectors. Its also relatively cheap.

I am not part of the 99%. I am not getting my phone potentially till the 15th. so even if someones 11/3 order is late it will come monday or so, still way earlier than the majority of the globe, you're still lucky. The order is irrelevant, the groups are what matter. Verizon isn't gonna just stop in order if that configuration isn't in stock and say "no one else can get their order shipped until Tim gets his SG256" its not really random, that wouldn't make much sense. If it was random then my 11/15 wouldn't matter and this would be a lottery. So its the groups and as long as you're in that group you have a really really.. really high chance of getting the phone friday. Can you imagine.. what is involved to distribute and just deal with the task of launching this phone and how many orders were taken. Its pretty insane and there will be errors, no matter how "good" verizon gets. Some people will have an unfortunate day on friday but thats a percent of a percent and it really shouldn't worry anyone here.. back to case staring.

Great, I’ll look into it. Thanks.
[doublepost=1509494542][/doublepost]One more question to everyone who was able to get a credit for the $30 upgrade/activation fee. How did you go about getting a credit for it and what did you say?

Apple saddle brown leather, which I’ve had for every phone since the 5S. Creature of habit, I guess...

And I’d say location plays a part along with the configuration. Seems like these things have been staged all over the country. I was always in on the flight tracking from China but this year they are staged ahead of time, never saw that before myself. I’d not get worried till Thursday afternoon for the 11-3 people.

Completely agree!

I ordered a Verizon 256 Silver iPhone X using the Apple Web site and when I go to my Verizon App they show the "upgrade" in process. There are no charges for the phone on MyVerizon account but there is an order number that looks totally different than my Apple order number. Is this the norm for Verizon? Apple has charged my CC and I have the UPS tracking number and an 11/3 delivery.

Just got a fraud alert email from chase, saying Verizon attempted a payment on 10/31! Will wait 5 minutes and if the charge doesn’t go through will be calling Verizon to run it again.

FINALLY seeing some movement!

edit: called and payment was re-processed on the phone, and was confirmed successful!
