Dont understand why people have an issue with scalpers ... it's apples fault re. the short supply. Scalpers are a symptom of capitalism rather than the cause of the supply issues. If you guys dont want to pay, wait for availability in store. I've paid $100 more, because i want one before xmas.

You don't see a problem? Sure. They did not cause the short supply. But they made it worse by drying up the already low supply. Don't make it sounds like they are all innocent and it's ALL Apple's fault. Scalpers are the kind of people that take advantage of other people's problems. **** all scalpers!

Look at this guy, $349 for a opened pencil. These people are the scum of the earth.

I wouldn't go that far. They aren't trying to sell something that is essential to life. And no one is forcing people to buy from him.

I agree that Apple has messed up the pencil/keyboard launch pretty badly. That said, the "I've got to have it right this second!" mentality enables the scalpers to operate. If people would ignore and not buy from the scalpers, but just order from Apple/Best Buy etc. then the scalpers would fade away.

A mean scalper is taking advantage of me. They are pure evil. Wahhhhhhh...

My bad. I should have been more sensitive to the scalpers hanging out here. Sorry to rat you all out.

It's background noise from people who need attention. Ignore him.

The scalping is a product of how apple did this products launch. It was terrible. Online orders placed before store stock was available wasn't filled. They gave 1 month + dates. This made an unrealistic demand. Scalpels step in here.
People who actually want to use the product take a back seat to money grubbers.
